Gestetner's bais din is known to not be a kosher Beis din. Why on earth is hefkervelt only publicizing the Get refuser's side???
ReplyDeleteWhat makes bais din shaar hamishpat non kosher? I guess the YU centrist reform views have unfortunately infiltrated the chareidi town of Lakewood who consider the Mizrachi beth din kosher, the so called Beth Din of America!
DeleteYou can say and post anything you want in this "free speech" country.
DeleteBut we highly doubt that you would eat meat or Matzohs with such kind of p'sak -as
allowing shaming - and procuring a get through shaming.
Ans if youdi eat such meat oe Matzohs you are a Kal sheh'be'kallim to say the least.
For the same reason the comments sections are dominated by anti-vaxxers, eitznikim, and frummer-than-thous in general. Catering to the clientele.
DeleteI have often checked up the sources of the 'beis din' shaar mishpat in their prolific letter writing campaigns. They are almost always irrelevant.
DeleteThat 'beis din' is a fake phony, because they don't know how to learn, and they publicize amhaaratzus.
Shaming a person for refusing to go to BD is not a problem. Shaming a person's parents for his refusal to give a get, is not a problem. And the idea that shaming is an issue is a distortion of Rabbeinu Tam's words.
frummer-than-thous in general. Catering to the clientele"

DeleteWhat about shaming cause the nitvah has another recognized valid bet din?
MMhY - that does not passel the Get. But what does 'recognized' mean? Is he actually going to that Beis Din? Or claiming to?
Delete6:51
DeleteNot talking about any particular current case.
Just talking about other shaming cases where there is another bet din in the case, before the seruv-writing bet din got involved.
You can't shame someone cause batei din are fighting each other.
gedolei haposkim always had the same response when someone said " yene posek holds... " un ver noch halt azoi" ?
ReplyDeleteSo heferkvelt just keep the wife locked up by the husband who isnt decent enough to even meet with mediators and work things out. There is no excusae for a husband to not give a get to his wife, work out the differences, Trust me there were a lot of more challenging differences that have been worked through there is no excuse for a husband to not give a get. Please keep up the pressure on these "husbands".
ReplyDeleteoccasionally brutal thugs go free too
Deleteso condemn every system
thousands of illegal immigrants in New Jersey residents will be eligible to begin the process of obtaining a state driver's license..........
ReplyDeleteCan the lines and wait at DMV get any longer? This is insane
I fail to understand how a Halacha question can be misconstrued as being on "one side". For example, if a Rav would rule that a certain new method of shechita would render an animal a nevaila, does that make that Rav on the side of PETA?
ReplyDeleteMy understanding of Judaism is that if a man maliciously withholds a "get" from his wife, he is violating "V'ohavto L'raicha Komoicha, and he will suffer the consequences either on this world or the next.
On the other hand if a Rav presides over a "get" that is coerced and posul and causes to machshil harbbim, he too will not escape judgement.
Where does being "on one side" enter into this equation?
Well said!
DeleteWhere is this letter from the Roshei Yeshiva? Why can't I see it?
ReplyDeleteCyrano, this Beis din is the one that Meir Kin used. They are not a reputable Beis din. That's why they are taking Meir Kin's side. Why does hefkervelt publish this pseudo Beis din's psak instead of the siruvim issued against get refusers and the interview with Lonna Kin? Very interesting to see what they choose to post.
ReplyDeleteThe seruv against Mr Kin is not even signed by a bet din.
DeleteIt's three rabbonim individually. And those rabbonim have their own bet din, which obviously don't want to sign on.
Chai4ever is for those who are registered. Those who aren’t can go at 7:15.
ReplyDelete2nd time that I went at 715 and everything was gone
DeleteSiruv also from aguddath horabbonim
ReplyDeletePlease note that the gestetner Beis din is not recognized as kosher Beis din
Wednesday didn't start yet? :)
