  1. We ought to be too big to care one way or another for the adolescent cloth symbols

    1. Curious, do you think that the flags of the shevatim, prescribed by HKBH himself, are "adolescent cloth symbols"? Or is this just an attempt to be shtultzy?

    2. Let us see if you can figurer out the difference between a flag proscribed by the Torah and a silly cloth symbol. Shouldn't be too hard.

    3. So every human institution of government is silly and childish unless it's based on the Torah? Tell chazal we shouldn't make a bracha on seeing a gentile king. Those foolish goyim with their robes and crowns. What were chazal thinking?

    1. Sorry but you’re an ignorant fool. Do your research. Your assertion is simply untrue. I think you must ask Mechillah from the Ponivizher Rav! This was a tradition instituted by him for specific reasons. When they asked the Chazon Ish to request from the Rav to stop this, he calmly responded that he doesn’t want to “start up” with the Holy Ponivezher Rav. Honestly I don’t get why is Hefkervelt posting this as if it’s the latest hock??

    2. Hefkervelt is posting this as if its the latest hock because 73 years later there are still keyboard Kannoim seething over the fact that some gedoilim in EY came to different conclusions than people who prefer to shout and scream from the comfort of chul.

  3. Not everyone has to go with Satmar sheetos...
Once upon a time there were gedolim with different mehalchim and it was ok.
Rac Eya Meir Bloch, Rav Dessler, Rav Yakov and other 'mainstream' gedolim were ok with Israel.

    1. rav elya meir bloch was definitely not "ok" with zionism. (he also was defintely not satmar). you do not have to be satmar to be against zionism. that was the standard view of the litvish yeshiva system. we actually consider satmar to be zionist because they focus their entire lives on an obsession with the israeli state.

  4. All the Gedolim of that time were against Zionism. Today’s America is Zionist because they don’t know better.
