  1. There are still fathers that don’t have seats for their kids in shul all because of gaava sinah and kinah.

    1. If the fathers have kids they should do something so that their kids have seats. Such as contributing enough to expand the shul.
OR go to another shul where there are seats.
As a last resort start your own shul then your the boss and can give as many seats to your kids as you wish.
Shuls in general are not obligated to see that overflow peoples kids should have seats. Parents are responsible for that. And it involves funds. No nickel and dime funds - were talking serious funds.

    2. Anon 5:41 - you are right. The 'Shul' is not responsible to find seats for everyone. Maybe. But they are responsible not to prevent Shuls from opening

    3. The Halacha is, a town is obligated to build a Shul for everyone to daven. A person cannot say "I have a seat, let the other guy build his own", he also must contribute to building a Shul. ANd he certainly may not prevent others from building

  2. There was a Jewish woman killed in France by a man high on marijuana and he was found not guilty of murder because he was under the influence. Mayor Coles, the learning curve will be to outlaw it once again. It is NOT like alcohol at all, especially not in this town where most alcohol consumption takes place at religious gatherings or community events. Your not going to a Bar Mitzvah that has everyone rolling joints.

    1. I don't understand your issue with marijuana? Why do the Rabbis need to control everyone's lives? If you don't want to smoke marijuana, so be it. If you don't want to daven in other shuls except for the main shul in Westgate, so be it. If you don't want to wear a mask, so be it.
But the rest of us want to have our own shul in Westgate, smoke marijuana, wear masks and mini skirts and vote against the Vaad. Leave us alone. Let us live.

Drilling in one's cabin sinks invariably the entire

      iCana'an instructed his descendants:Be Tolerant

      We are
commanded to be intolerant and to chase them out

The issue is our kids. Me and you can certainly make our own decision whether or not to smoke it, but if we dont want our kids to smoke it and its legal on the street then we are in trouble

  5. Speaking of Lakewood there was a horrific breach of tznius this passed Sunday .” A collaborative event like none other “. The hired models were prancing around in the heart of Lakewood with inappropriate evening wear and used extremely inappropriate body language . How low have we stopped to allow this to go on? Because some are highly connected ? It starts with the “food shopping experience “.... and this is what evolves ...pritzus !
