 -Weather: Abundant sunshine. High near 65F

- 27 new covid cases in Lakewood totals 13422/296. Toms River 10112/313 Manchester 3597/308 Jackson 5670/101 Brick  8314/247

-The ordnance for 4 way stop signs in New England village area did not pass as no one voted on it. Mayor said that residents were opposed to it. The township will work with PD for  safety speed bumps in the area.

-Most Lakewood homeowners paid $1,500 - $2,600 last year in annual Ocean county taxes. The FY 2021 budget will reduce that amount by approximately $150 - 300 from this portion of your property taxes.(LNN)
- Ocean county will appropriate $4,000,000 for improvements to Cross Street and $1,500,000 for improvements to Kennedy Blvd.

-LRRC to receive $1,918,226, and OHI will receive $1,955,997 as part of $50 million in federal funds awarded to Community Health Centers across NJ to continue providing critical health care services for the uninsured, (LNN) LRRC/CHEMED received $7.7 million in covid testing related grants 2 weeks ago

Food distribution: 
 -Bnos Yaakov today 2 PM in Pine Park.  Contents- Reeses Puffs cereal, baguettes, mini pizzas, 6 pack yogurt, kokosh cake, box drinks, apple snacks, tomatoes, grapes, carrots, chips, milk
- Many yeahiva bochurim who are going to learn in Eretz Yisrael had to push off their flight since obtaining an Ishur to enter is taling time as the misrad hapnim is backed up. Also 100 bochurim were planning on going to a yeshiva but the plans fell apart.
- Satmar Rebbe Rav Zalman will spend next week in Lakewood
-In town Mesivtas begin the summer zman today
- Lakewood Township officials plan to introduce a 2021 municipal budget that includes no tax increases and a 4% across-the-board spending cut, according to Mayor Raymond Coles. The $108.9 million spending plan will be released at the regular Township Committee meeting Thursday at 5:30 p.m.(app)
- Lakewood township meeting tonight first reading to make a 4 way stop at the intersections of Powderhorn Drive and Flintlock Drive, Powderhorn Drive and Heath Court, and Flintlock Drive and Liberty Drive are proposed to 
-State Of Georgia to lift all Covid-19 restrictions starting today

  1. It's coming obvious that every street in Lakewood should have a traffic light or a 4 way stop.

    1. It will keep getting worse with every development variance request approved by our zoning and planning boards. I guess it's "worth it" for them.

  2. Did they get a good deal on stop signs, or what?
    Why all the 4 ways? Do people on the neighborhood feel that it’s necessary? Any data to support this ridiculous project?

  3. There was no spending cut, their was a cut from the "PROPOSED" 2021 budget.

    Considering the municipal building was essentially shut for the last year, and that the Township got a huge chunk of stimulus, they should be giving tax debates

    1. Totally agree. The stimulus money pretty much covered whatever limited government activities took place this past year. They should pass on a bigger savings to the residents.
