- Kol Mevaser interviewed a BMG board member about Lakewood Yeshiva expansion as it expects to hit 10,000 students K'AH in the next 2 years; currently the yeshiva has over 8000 students. As the yeshiva prepares for the growth they are looking to expand on all fronts including new kollel apartments, more dormitories and Botei Medrash. The yeshiva has purchased 40 acres of property in Jackson to build a bais Medrash with more Kollel housing as many young couples are living there. Currently the Yeshiva is building  600 new apts on the newly acquired Georgian court property the yeshiva purchased 36 acres but has the right of first refusal for the remaining of the150 acres. It will consist of  6 buildings of 100 units each strictly for youngeleit learning in yeshiva. The majority of them will be 3 bedroom apts, some 4 BR and a small amount of 2 BR the rents will be below market as the yeshiva. Currently BMG has 400 rented apartments that are below market and the new apts will be the same. The yeshiva also purchased 7 buildings that are currently used for the GCU college administration on Lakewood avenue and will probably build a dorm of 500-600 beds and a B"M for 1000 seats.  The yeshiva also purchased the woodlake golf course which is a 150 acre property including the old club house and can have a B"M that fits 500 and with time potentially building housing there.

  3. Still wondering, why is Hefkervelt not posting the new פשוטו של מקרא letter. No clearer endorsement has been written, and it is from the greatest that we have.
Reb Avraham Gurwitz' position should not be censored.
