-NYT article attacks YU "Was Yeshiva University Entitled to $230 Million in Public Funds?
The Modern Jewish Orthodox school refuses to recognize an L.G.B.T.Q. student club, arguing in court that it is a religious institution. A group of high-ranking state lawmakers said it appeared that the flagship Modern Jewish Orthodox school might have misrepresented itself as a secular institution on at least two occasions in order to qualify for more than $230 million in public funds to build and renovate its facilities and restructure its pre-existing debts. Yeshiva university responded "An article has appeared in the New York Times with allegations regarding YU’s use of state funding that are both wrong and offensive. When our community is attacked and misrepresented in this way, it is important to be clear that there is absolutely no validity or legitimate legal claim to the assertions about YU in this story.

Will food prices come down now that noone can aford it? (Snap still going to have the 25% increase that Biden gave a year ago - or the 50$ NJ minimum Murphy recently signed into law..) I have a feeling those millions of dollars in lost revenue is going to be a big loss to the Lakewood economy
ReplyDeleteSnap increased is ending in time for pesach shopping

ReplyDeleteNot the same group of chasidim.
DeleteHow can someone meet R'Shimon Galei without going to Princeton for Shabbos? Or is he only accessible to the "high rollers"?
ReplyDeleteThis whole classified documents that was suddenly found by Bidens house is one big scam
ReplyDeleteThis is all pre planned to make the dems and DOJ look like they are impartial and not only going after Trump.
The documents were probably planted by federal agents to pretend that they are giving equal treatment
It's mind boggling how they think the American people are sooo stupid to fall for this. It is a set up and a way for Garland and crew to save face or indict Trump
Just maybe every president takes these things and it's never made a big deal out of until Trump does it..
DeleteThe whole reason Biden is such an awesome president is also a scam. He only passes such great laws because he wants to look good.
DeleteI remember someone saying this about the DOH. They don't care if people die of Covid. It just doesn't look good if there are bodies piled up in the streets.
I hope I don't have to explain the irony to people who have been fed a Yated diet since childhood.
R Galie is accessible to all but as many of these type " Gedolim" learned the tricks if the trade and only have the time of day for those with big bucks, or with whom they can get done good PR

ReplyDeleteOften, these NYT articles by our mortal enemies are formerly orthodox- or still in pretense- who we lack the courage to expel ruthlessly from our societies where they dwell parasitically
