  1. A chutzpah to show this letter here as it is contradictory to our Roshey Yeshiva

    1. The last letter by the rosehi yeshiva and Rav Aaron Feldman shlita was a stimas hagolel on the sugya all other letters are not going to change anything they said the last word.

    2. What is the Cuhtzpah? If he is hogia L'Horaah, he is entitled to his opinion and to disagree. That is how psak halcha has worked for thousands of years, without a sanhedrin who makes decisions for all of klal yisrael. End of story. As we remain in golus, without a sanhedrin, this is the correct way, No one Gadol, no matter how big, can make a psak binding on all of klal Yisrael. When moshiach comes, things will change,. Until that glorious day, there is nothing wrong with disagreeing, assuming you are higia l'horaah.

    5. The Roshei Yeshivah were misled by people that have an agenda that has nothing to do with the chumash itself. I know first-hand that many of them regret ever signing against it. I knew this would happen. As with everything, it's only a matter of time till the emes finally emerges.

    6. "I know first hand..." No you don't, because they don't regret anything.

"I knew this would happen." You're just a clown.

The emes emerged with Horav Ahron Feldman's final letter. You tried to spin your shekarim and got cought.

  3. This issue with פשוטו של מקרא is an interesting one, but now we have some kind of maskana.

The original letter said a lot of words, but none of the signers of the letter even claimed to have learned through the Sefer. They were relying on another cabal of article writers and kuntres publishers, without taking achrayus for their words.

Here, we have a different caliber of letter. Dayan Krausz writes clearly that he himself, not the guys who came to ask him to sign, not the rabble rousers, but he himself has been through the Sefer and found nothing wrong. That is worth much more than anyone else's signature on a קול קורא that he himself did not write.
Reb Avraham Gurwitz' opinion is also something else here. A great world-class Talmid Chacham wrote IN HIS OWN WORDS how we are to consider this. He did not sign someone else's sign, he did not nod his head or agree with anything - he wrote his opinion. And he sees nothing wrong with this Sefer.

This story finally has a clear opinion, through the fog of chazaros and chazaros from chazaros.

    1. It's you again, the peshuto troll. It's a shut case, the overwhelming majority of gedolim consider the psm chumash muktzah. If you follow every daas yachid's likulah, then psm is for you. But we knew that before this letter, because this letter simply serves you because it lines up with your beliefs. Had rav gurowitz said the opposite, you'd be mevatel him as well and have choice words for him too. We get it, you need flexibility in how you approach the torah and halacha. If it fits with your distorted world view you'll take it, otherwise you'll twist it to make it fit. You are nothing new, it's been happening for the past 300 years. Each generation in its own flavor. Your flavor is pretty boring.

    2. You keep regurgitation the same lies. Rabbi Feldman clearly knew exactly what he signed against.

      Delete
    3. The majority of gedolim disagree with Rabbi Feldman. In any event, throwing around names is useless and counterproductive. THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT THE CHUMASH ITSELF IS EXCELLENT AND RELIABLE IN EVERY WAY, AS ANYONE WHO HAS USED IT FOR SOME TIME KNOWS. PERIOD. END OF STORY.

    4. Dayan Gavriel Krausz shlita is a moiredig talmid chochom and is very highly respected in Manchester. So is Rav Horowitz shlita. I know them both personally.

    5. THE MAJORITY OF GEDOLIM FULLY AGREE WITH RABBI FELDMAN. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT. END OF STORY.

    6. R Matisyahu Salomon Shlita once said candidly that English rabbis are narrow in general [ he based it on a me'iri ] .
Very shrewd to approach them for this therefore

      Delete
    7. Reb Matisyahu NEVER said anything negative about Reb Avraham. If he did, the problem is his, not Reb Avrohom's.
And Reb Gavriel Krausz is not a 'a Rabbi', he is a retired Rosh Beis Din in a well-respected Beis Din in Manchester. He held the job previously held by the Minchas Yitzchok. It is a chutzpah for a mashgiach to talk like that about him, and seeing as the mashgiach is not known for his chutzpah, it is highly unlikely that he ever said such a chutzpahdige thing about Reb Gavriel Krausz.

    8. A year from now, when all this crazyness dies down, everyone will see -- whether they admit to it or not -- what kind of treasure this chumash is. Unfortunately, in the interim, the unsuspecting hamon am will lose out by not being able to access the chumash, which is a tragedy caused by a few troublemakers that desperately need jobs

  7. Amazing words of effusive praise from an eminent Gaon who has actually learned through the entire Chumash. Not only did he find nothing problematic, but he writes that although he had given shiurim in chumash for many years, AFTER LEARNING THIS PERUSH, HE FELT AS THOUGH HE HAS NEVER LEARNED CHUMASH PROPERLY!! All of us who have the zechus to actually use this great Chumash know exactly what he means.

    1. So after a giant talmid chacham learnt chumash and rashi very very well, he had what to gain from this sefer. That's not the case when the chumash is used by am haretz, who doubtfully knows Chumash Rashi on any significant level, it's נעשה לו סם המות, as Horav Ahron wrote הרבה נזק.

      Delete
    2. Complete and utter nonsense! You don't need to be a great Talmid Chochom to learn what other rishonim say on a pasuk. People who aren't familiar with chumash and Rashi are not reading this perush; and if they do, there is no harm at all ch'v to learn other meforshim. In any event, Rashi is printed beautifully ON THAT VERY PAGE, accompanied by the most popular contemporary biur on it. This is so beyond rediculous, it's amazing

  17. I think we have to get a perspective here.Rav Feldman has spent his life inculcating a certain type of hashkafa to his baalei teshuva at Ohr Sameach ,and to Ner Yisroel talmidim.
In both cases ,he was often competing with previous exposure to outside influences, which undermine chazal. The Pshuto shel Mikra is not appropriate for these type of talmidim. Many dont have the sophistication yet to comprehend the idea of ע' פנים לתורה.
Dayan Krausz is a ,a great baal horaah, steeped in the mesorah of the Chasam Sofer, and Ksav Sofer from whom he descends. He commands tremendous respect in that world.
So too Reb Avraham, comes from the world of Brisk, Mir,Kelm. These are the authentic shroshim of klal yisroel . It is a world where Rashi is ingrained into the hard drive of hidden. They have no problem with learning other pirushim too.
By the way I had 3 good bochurim from the Mir for shabbos. One from Ner Yisroel ,two from a Lakewood yeshiva. None of them knew a certain well known Rashi on the parsha,or so I thought.
Maybe this whole issue should be a call, for the American chinch system to be mechazek on Rashi.
