- NJ DOT has installed, and now activated, a new left turning arrow for Kennedy Blvd eastbound traffic turning left onto Route 9 heading towards Howell Township more at Faanews

- Biden admin considers sending a "significant number" of Abrams M1 tanks to Ukraine (WSJ)

- Former President Trump holds a 3-point lead over President Biden in a hypothetical 2024 rematch, according to a new Emerson College poll released on Tuesday. 44  percent for Trump compared to the 41 percent who said they would back Biden. 

- Top scientists and security experts moved the "Doomsday Clock" forward on Tuesday to just 90 seconds to midnight -– signaling an increased risk to humanity's survival from the nuclear shadow over the Ukraine conflict and the growing climate crisis. - the closest to midnight it had been in its history.

- The first  snowstorm of the winter for New Jersey on Wednesday will deliver a coating to 2 inches of snow for most of the state accompanied by a nasty mix of ice, drenching rain, wind gusts up to 50 mph and some coastal flooding. The Lakewood ocean county area will rain later in the day Rainfall around a half an inch.

- The Powerball jackpot rises to $526 million after nobody one the lottery last night. The next drawing is tomorrow night 

Lakewood township & developer settle in court with Elmwood Village residents over damage to the basin, the Township has agreed to pay Elmwood Village $10,000. The Township has further agreed to assume the responsibility for the ownership, maintenance and care of the storm water drainage basin. see full story on Faanews

- Several shopping centers along route 9 and toms river are filling up with frum stores a brand new one under construction at the corner of Cox cro and route 9 is expected to open in a few months with some Lakewood stores relocating there.

- Midwinter vacation airline travel: There's been several reports of frum passengers not allowed on flights or kicked off,  in one instance  a family was denied entry onto a Delta flight to Miami after coming to the gate a few minutes prior to the boarding time, they alleged it was anti semitism since other families that came after were allowed to board. As a result the family missed the flight and missed the cruise. In another case a video circulating on social media shows a chassidishe yid was kicked off a Delta flight from Ft. Lauderdale to NY when they claimed he used too much space in the overhead compartment when all he had was his hat jacket and carry on luggage. It appears he was asked to check the luggage in and after refusing was removed off the flight.

- Amazon announced today that it will launch RxPass, a subscription service for customers who have Prime memberships. Amazon said people will pay $5 a month to fill as many prescriptions as they need from a list of about 50 generic medications, which are generally cheaper versions of brand-name drugs. The company said the flat fee could cover a list of medications like the antibiotic amoxicillin and the anti-inflammatory drug naproxen.

- A community wide siyum on Maseches Nedarim will take place this evening for the Lakewood community hosted by The Chaburah at the Sterling Place Simcha hall 1 Gila 9:15 pm. It is part of the Agudah Worldwide Siyum Nedarim. The guest speaker Rav Yisroel Reisman shlita R"Y Torah Vodaas will be focus on the practical halacha lem’a’seh aspects of hilchos nedarim.

- Kol Mevaser interview with  Rav Yitzchok Margereten shlita Rav of Khal Shomrei shabbos of Cleveland  who was the rav of R' Boruch Taub Z"L. He said the community lost 2 exceptional people, baalei mishpacha who had the achrayis of the tzibbur,and left behimd a house of yesomim. it is a big loss for the community. He spoke to the community that we have to be mechazek in emunah and we have to be mekabel what happened. 

- People in New Jersey and other eastern states may be able to see a rocket that is scheduled to be launched by NASA on Tuesday, from Virginia the launch is scheduled between 6 pm - 8 pm

- Kof-K kashrus alert Due to a processing change, Jim Beam Sauces are no longer certified Kosher.  Products produced prior to January 6, 2023, when bearing the Kof-K are approved
