ReplyDeletePeople would open but we are too used to living in big communities. Nobody eats to live a few hours away from Lakewood or Brooklyn. I don't know why but that's the way it is. Nothing near lakewoid or even an hour away can be affordable any more. Without moving a few hours away it won't work
ReplyDeleteIf yungeleit were willing to move a few hours drive away from Lakewood and live in simpler housing and simpler lifestyles like Lakewood of 40 years ago there would definitely be gvirim who would support new kollelim. But everybody wants to be a kollel younger man and live in the hottest neighborhood close to everything in a up to date house and lifestyle so we have nobody to blame but ourselves.
