- Crown Heights: Over the past 24 hours there are multiple new cases of COVID both in residents and those from out of town. This represents for the first time since Purim a very worrisome surge in new cases. It is critical that those at risk for serious illness remain protected. It is time to restart outdoor and porch minyanim, to the extent feasible. Particularly for those above age 60 or with underlying health issues (including obesity) - CHinfo

The Ocean County Health Department is a joke .
ReplyDeleteThey change the death count downward a few times a week .
It shows that irresponsible people are giving out all the regulations.
I know. Its all baloney. Pretty soon they will revise the number down to zero and then we will all see that this fake pandemic was all political and had one goal, to hurt Trump.
DeleteWow, now i feel great....but i wonder, why do i see all those new graves on 7th street. Scratching my head.
Lakewood has more than 15 cases, but most aren't testing. Almost everyone knows someone currently with symptoms.
ReplyDeleteThis is unfortunately very true. My friend , a 49 year old woman, is in the ICU now with COVID. I saw her at a wedding on Tuesday night- neither of us wore masks :( We can no longer pretend that everything is back to normal. Please take precautions !!!!
DeleteNo one is including Toms River and Jackson cases which most likely raise the number of unzera.
DeleteRabosai be careful
We must follow Israel's lead! Lakewood must shut down! Outsiders can not come in! Not for simchos and not for dates! Certainly not for yom tov! There are people who are very sick, r'l! Do we have to close our shuls and schools again for people to get the message? And, oh yeah, wear a mask even if others don't! Mayor Coles, are you watching what's going on? Lead or leave! Enough of the free ride you've been taking all these years! I'm looking forward to voting you out of office!
ReplyDeleteMove to Israel.
DeleteThey tried lockdown once and it failed ! Thats a model you want ??
Lockdowns only kick the can down the road. We must deal with the virus, it is here to stay, we aren't getting rid of it. The only solution is herd immunity. That's what occurred in Lakewood and Brooklyn 80-90% got the virus. We were virus free for months, until outsiders brought it in and the other 10-20% are getting it now.
ReplyDeleteThe older, more vulnerable population needs to stay safe while it goes around. But at least there is a realistic plan of getting back to normal.
It's not a perfect plan, but it's the only one we have
I'm thrilled that all the movie theaters and beaches will be closed for R'H & Y'K in E'Y! Remember: Just one Shabbos and we'll all be free! Can we get a shutdown of non-essential places here too?
ReplyDeleteBut in the US thousands are running to Orlando for sukkos
ReplyDeleteAnd why is that a problem. All summer Lakewood had visitors from states that should've quarantined and they didn't. That's why we're seeing a new outbreak in Lakewood.
Delete80 percent of Lakewood DID NOT GET IT!
ReplyDeleteNEITHER did 80 percent of Brooklyn !
Boro Park DID not even hit 50 percent !!!
BEHAVE AND BE CAREFUL!
DON’T Go out of you are sick
DON’T not get tested because you don’t want to know because you are making a simcha !
DON’T put other people’s lives at stake because you are Selfish or had enough !
Who gave you your numbers? Almost everyone I know had it in some form or another in their family, whom they were locked up with during quarentine.
DeleteAnd someone who makes a simchah is not selfish. People who come are usually mature enough to see if they want to take the risk?
Stop getting hysterical.
