  2. Schools have to close asap or else the economy might get better and trump might be reelected.
Parents must be forced to stay home to watch kids. Biden/Bernie/Inc. is relying on this.

    1. We, as Bernie Bros. need to shut everything down, and Governor Murphy is secretly on our side. Mark my words, by the end of this weekend the 'numbers' will spike drastically and we will have another shut down before schools can resume on Tuesday. Vote for Joe and Kamala to save us all from Trump's virus!

    2. You're aware that this is only affecting frum communities and that NJ as a whole is doing much better? What does this have anything to do with politics??

    1. Are you aware of any other communities with spikes? This time we cant claim we were unaware and that it happened to coincide with Purim. We just opened up more then any other community (first unrestricted chasunas and travel after tisha bav and then yeshiva/school after rosh chodesh)

    2. Then again, the frum communities are spreaders, so you can’t really blame them

    2. By closing schools you are also closing a lot of businesses and kids will all be playing with neighbors and nothing is gained. Just a bunch of frustrated kids, parents and business owners.

    3. Not this time, knowing how quickly it came back. We DON'T chalilah want a 3RD WAVE! KEEP HOME YOUR KIDS! Show responsibility! Also, VOTE OUT RAY COLES!

  6. What religion are you people referring to? We don't stop learning and close yeshivas for no reason. If it was Ebola going around then yes everyone stay home. But not a flu like virus that 99.9% of people survive.

  8. Schools are spreaders the wave of new infections in israel started from the schools and weren't closed right away and spread everywhere.. Every one here knows this.

  9. Schools wont close because if they do the parents will not pay tuition for the entire months of Tishrei. And they have every right not to pay.

    1. I paid last time without questioning it, but won't do the same again. I have heard about how all the rebbeim and teachers "worked harder than ever", bottom line, my children did not learn much during lockdown, a couple of hours a day tops, does not warrant the tuition, and a lot of individuals and businesses are struggling right now

      Delete
    2. 'Every right' is not really true. The simple halacha seems to say that you would have to pay even if they closed completely.

    3. sorry but 讛砖讜讞讚 讬注讜专 is what you are going through its not pashut to charge for the full month of Tishrei when the school does not teach on all the days it is supposed to. There were schools who were mentchlich and gave parents a tuition credit for April and May

  10. Don't pay anyway. They're not enforcing mask wearing!

  11. The BIG BAR MITZVAH EVENT was just CANCELLED due to COVID concerns. Schools and Chol Hamoed events MUST be cancelled as well. Save lives, stay home!

  15. Call me a monster, murderer, and what ever else you want. I really dont care. But there is always risk in going on with life. Everything must be weighed. We drive cars, right ? People work on construction sites, right ? We cross the street, right ? Well these things have risk, but we must do it. Well, the cost of closing schools and stores, and locking everyone in their homes indefinitely is worse then whatever risk comes with keeping life going. Yes, weddings should be kept to a minimum, chol hamoed events should be cancelled, and very large minyonim should not operate. But we cannot stop life. Zoom, shmoom. That was not school. Virtual life just isnt life. People need to work and businesses need to stay open .

  16. Stop the weddings, vort a, bar mitzvas, parlor meeting, siyums etc but NOT school as that’s essential and then you’ll see change.

  17. LAKEWOOD needs to be hermetically sealed! No one should be able to go in or out until after Sukkos! Mayor Ray Coles has the authority to do something to protect us. If he does nothing, we MUST VOTE HIM OUT! He is just like Hidin' Biden if he won't act NOW to stop the spread!
