    1. What is code 19? Do you mean covid 19?

      Delete
    2. "Code 19" is the code that hatzolah uses to refer to a covid-19 call.
They have many codes, this is one of them.

  3. For some odd reason the lakewood rabbobim refuse to address the uptick in covid cases here in lakewod/jackson/ tomsriver areas.

    2. We're well past "uptick". Doctors are estimating "hundreds" of current cases. (Estimating because they know people aren't getting tested.)

    1. and no one can go to work until everyone finds a job and no one can learn with a chavrusah until everyone finds a chavrusah and no one can buy a house until everyone is able to buy a house.

    2. We're talking about children here, not adults.

    3. Schools, especially for Torah education, have long been treated as a communal institution and are therefore subject to communal considerations. Thanks for the lack of empathy with those less fortunate than you.

    4. If schools in Lakewood would he treated like communal institutions then why doesn't the community raise funds to make the necessary schools ? Why doesn't the community give even one dollar to the schools when they force the school to accept children with issues who need major help costing the schools thousands of dollars for that child? Why doesn't the community offer funding for existing schools to build more classrooms and hire more teachers ? Why doesn't the community offer tuition help to the schools when they force the schools to accept dysfunctional families who can't pay tuition? And on and on etc ....

  5. Why is city hall closed? Zoning an Planning board meeting closed to the public and done by ZOOM???!
All our neighboring towns Jackson, Howell, Toms River are open. Why is Ray Coles keeping them all closed? Can we get an answer?

    1. They want to pas whatever they want without public scrutiny or FAA videoing it. By having zoom meetings it restricts public participation there is no back and forth dialogue its only a email and there is no way to prove that it was even received.

  7. The whole supposed uptick is all politics.
    It’s so sad .
These people want to hide forever,
and make everyone else miserable as well .
    Leave us alone !!

    1. Politics? Please explain.

    2. The uptick is real, the response to it, or lack thereof, is political. There are two options. Complete shutdown or return to normal. We tried the shutdown, now let's try the return to normal. A few mild cases is worth the return to normalcy. Those at risk should stay home.

    3. There are two options for those who are incapable of nuanced thinking. For all other thinking people there are any number of options that fall between those two extremes. The sooner we find that right spot, the better off we will all be (and the higher the chance will be that we can avoid another lockdown)

    4. Problem is that some young people with no pre existing conditions are now in the hospital seriously ill .

    5. Yes it's sad, but not a problem. The chance of them dying is statistically zero. We dont inconvenience the public because of a few individuals. That's not how society works. As long as we have a documented history, we have never inconvenienced so many for the sake of a few.

    6. Callous, selfishly ignorant and immoral. Ever heard of Chamberlain and Munich? He declared should we have the whole world be upended just for the Czechs? and what about all the isolationists who believed their whole country and lifestyle shouldn't be disturbed just to go save Jews!

Is that how Sodom felt about the poor and the sick!

    7. Put your emotions aside, and follow the halacha. There is no requirement on the tzibur to protect the yachid. This question has been discussed many times in halacha. We are not a religion of emotions nor feel good policies. Tikkun oilam is not rooted in orthodox sources. It is immoral, and selfish to hurt the livelihood of thousands to protect a few elderly. What have you done about the Muslim camps in China, the slavery in Africa, the poverty in America? Stop preaching.

  9. R' Isaac Sher once gave a SHMU'ES to some American Rabbanim:you have have do a lot of Teshuva
He Responded rhetorically to himself: what for ?!you don't do aveiros

BUT you pick up the newspaper and told of problems and suffering the world,it doesn't bother you enough
you have do alot of teshuvah

They would have torn their clothes in the past that you're even tolerated in our communities now that your true colors are showing

'Put your emotions aside, and follow the halacha.'
    ah..Go Through The Al Chet's
Or is that my mistake to suggest As it Would be Tovel V'sheretz B'yodo?!

and now what's next "how should we Ma'aser Salt"
cool that you know what that's called
    Menuval B'reshus HaTorah

    good going ..descendant of Eisav?
'There is no requirement on the tzibur to protect the yachid.'
How  often does we demand responsibility on the the whole Community just for one person !

You better shut down hatzolah & every organization which saves elderly
are we obligated to sacrifice every last dollar to keep Shabbos? yes it's an obligation
and is incumbent on everyone to desecrate  their own Shabbos and almost  everything else to save one unhealthy's life anyone
who doesn't is  a wicked sinner

By the way what did you do sodom do wrong??
    She'li She'li,V'shelach Shelach
Can someone have a problem with that?!
That  busybody avrohom and his family..they care about others and violate every productive societal rule.

Dare you to show your series of comments any Sage of the generation
probably tell you to throw your Tefillin In the trash or something

The level of twisted depravity some will stoop to just to justify
'Tikkun oilam is not rooted in orthodox sources.

    really?!
    it is of course
For Those who say it everyday ,start in Alenu

'What have you done about the Muslim camps in China, the slavery in Africa, the poverty in America?'
of course all this should bother everyone
there is a almost endless pyramid scale of priorities however
of course if someone is free from doing everything else they should
