  1. Why is everyone running to get tested? The more tests = more cases. The more cases = the more shutdowns.

Dont feel well? Just stay home. Getting tested will ruin it for everyone else

So in your opinion should the entire lakewood go every few days to get tested just in case they might get others sick?? Thats absurd. Those who feel symptoms should stay home and everyone else should go on with normal life

  2. Rapids aren't reported in the OCHD daily numbers. Chemed was generating all the positives, so now the numbers will go down, while still going up! Brilliant!!

    1. It seems you are saying that providing actual facts for the experts to use, is somehow a bad thing.
But I don't think anyone would actually say that. So what are you saying?
Information is power, the more testing the better things will be.
Yes, positive tests are a problem in the short term. But in the long term, we will have a picture of what is going on, and people will know how to protect themselves and others.

    2. The only actual facts that matter are hospitalizations and deaths. Positive cases have no meaningful purpose other than to empower the government to use it as a weapon against our community.
If you think you have it, stay home. If you can't breath, contact your Dr and/or Hatzoloh.
      A positive test is meaningless.

According to the CDC there is a 99.9984% chance of survival for those under 60, and a 99.4% chance of survival for those older. Those odds are higher than the deaths/serious side effects caused by vaccines and is considered an "acceptable" number. Why now isn't it?

Yes, this is a serious disease, but the response to it, is driven by politics. There is no reason to be stupid, but the panic and the long lines are needless.

  3. Why test? so you feel sick you most probable have COVID.. so take it easy, rest and you will be fine. This is all political at this point and will cause the tzibur problems.
It isnt any worse than a flu for 99% of people. Same like flu.. Hospitalizations are near zero

    1. I wish they would allow stronger language, but you’re a bleeping idiot and are responsible for the deaths you WILL cause.

    2. What a quaint term 'near zero'. That person who is suffering from low oxygen, the lady who's family are desperately davening for her. The father of children who has brothers and parents, all desperately hoping for some good news, they are included in the 'nearly'.
This planet is 'nearly' zero as a part of the complete cosmos. How about eradicating just this planet, and leaving the rest of the universe intact. The vast majority of the world will be fine.

    3. Unless you happen to expose someone old or with a comorbidity you don't know about, and put him in the hospital or kill him.

This is why you should listen to the Rabbonim.

    4. Because we don't inconvenience the Rabim for the small chance. That is halacha. And since the risk is near zero, the shutdowns and other infringements are uncalled for. According to the CDC the average survival rate is above 99.9%.
Why isn't the governor banning the sales of all cigarettes, as the chances of smokers getting lung cancer is way higher than dying from Covid?
Why are we legalizing Marijuana when studies show the percentage of people who transition to other drugs is almost 10%.
The answer is: POLITICS. So you can choose if you want to be a victim of politics, or be normal.
We have heard for far too long about personal freedoms, my body my choice, government overreach, etc. But all of a sudden all those have gone out the window.
And all those people who are afraid of killing someone, I suggest you give up driving, as there is a chance you can get in an accident and kill someone. And who cares how low that chance is, every life is important.
We need to treat Covid with the same math, science, laws, and morals as we do all other diseases. The fact that we aren't just shows it's politics at play.

You are living proof that corona fanatics have taken on a cult status. Vile language and threats that someone WILL kill someone ? For suggesting that testing is not the key here ? Many doctors hold that too. Many countries. Have taken that route with great sucsses.

  4. You gotta know how to treat it! Is it pneumonia or is it COVID? There are different methods of treatment. DON'T just stay home. Get well!

    1. You don't treat Covid. You treat the symptoms, which in most seriously ill people is either Pneumonia, kidney failure, or Cardiac compromise. And most people who are getting these positive results are not being treated, they are resting at home for a few days. Any treatment that has shown improvement for Covid has been banned by NJ for the treatment of Covid. So what is the reason for all these people running to get Covid tests???

  6. Professor Dolores Cahill: 'Positive test may mean common cold'
University College Dublin (UCD) professor promises to 'debunk the narrative' of COVID-19.
As said above all it will do is give politicians the ammunition to shut down everything.

Even Dr. Fauci says he’s taking it.
Dr. Zelenko says Quercetin if no hydroxycloroquine available. All very safe if taken in normal amounts for short duration of when sick or exposed

  7. Rapid test has 30% false negative and 30% false positive. They are basically worthless. Just a way to generate $$$
Test with a real lab. Finding out that you are positive is important in order that you should not infect others. Antibody testing is also important since if you have antibodies the overwhelming belief is that you cannot get sick again. In addition you cannot be a carrier.

    1. Your numbers are wrong. The false positives hover around 20-30%, but the false negatives are less than 10%. This is why the OCHD doesn't report those positives as they are not considered reliable. It is meant to be used in high contact areas and a follow up PCR test is recommended for all positives.

  8. All stores are asking for custermers to wear masks not just the larger 2 stores in town we all ask u to put your mask on a store owner ty

    1. How many of the store owners are disinfecting their stores?

    2. And if you ask me wear a white shirt and black hat while shopping in your store, that would be illegal. Why is a mask any different? There is no medical reason to wear a cloth face covering. Unless you are wearing an N-95 mask, you are accomplishing little. I refuse to be a crony to socialist/anti-semitic government. And stop telling me I might kill someone immunocompromised, as they frankly should be staying home during a pandemic. Maybe we should lower the speed limit on the GSP to 35MPH, to accommodate the elderly that are overwhelmed at 65MPH? No, we need to take care of the larger society first. And for the larger society, this is not life altering. Those are the FACTS. And don't tell me it's not yiddish, as it is. As per halacha, we accommodate a Rabim before a Yachid.
So come someone give me a non-emotional reason for the continued shutdowns, restrictions and mask wearing rules.
But in middle of this all, NJ manages to pass a anti plastic/paper bag law. Shows where their priorities are.
