DeleteTesting negative more than 10 days after infection does not mean they are not affected by it.
Negative tests don't mean anything, the false negative rate is very high.

Mutated strains of coivid 19 are now appearing and previous antibodies are very iffy. Yes, you can test 'positive' if you had it already. It's the way disease works. But, not one person who was symptomatic was symptomatic a second time. That has not happened.
I am not accusing Dr Ditchek of anything. He is just not an authority on this kind of thing, it is not his forte.

Data to date show that a person who has had and recovered from COVID-19 may have low levels of virus in their bodies for up to 3 months after diagnosis. Even if the Gov orders them shut - keep them open! What happened to mesiras nefesh? My whole life I’m hearing speeches about mesiras nefesh and now people rather shut schools then get a fine! Oiy! It’s the for the people of Lakewood NJ to wake up before it’s too late...... Stop being like sheep on the way to be slaughtered!

DeleteStop being sheep in your quest not to wear masks. Just use sechel, masks will perhaps prevent yeshivas from closing, chillul hashem and safek protect someone's life. Seems like an easy cheshbon unless the peer pressure to not wear is too much and you arent willing to do a minor inconvenience that looks different than the crowd (not to mention that in 110 degree weather you wear a hat and jacket even so its hot and sweaty and a mask is no worse)

Ditcheks cases were confirmed and verified by nys health dept and have not been disproved. Hong Kong and s Korea and Nevada cases are now documented as reinfection(1 by mutated strain other possible) The scientist August 2020 has a report of coronavirus 229e positively being reinfecting after 1 year by injecting same virus into previous infected. Most were asymptomatic but contagious and relevance of vivid to 229 e. Virologist m Ghandi and Ellis UNC say all virolgists admit possibility of reinfection although documentation is ongoing. Reinfection in all these cases have occurred only after 3 months or longer.No one claims present antibodies are long effective against mutated strains And they are now popping up in Texas and other parts of world.Dr Aaron Glatt head of mt Sinai infectious disease and Dennis Nash cbc and nyc health board and vinyl professor are the local experts to go to if you wish to check.

DeleteThe modern orthodox have kept their schools and communities largely covid free with shuls and schools open, and while there have been things printed that we may not follow, the key to their success has been masks and distancing, not cutting out piyutim.
