  1. What a embarrassment that a philanthropist who is not your typical Ben Torah needs to remind us that buildings are just monuments of pride. He came to see what we really should stand for......

    2. As usual all these guys made their dough on somebody's backs.
Those Jews destroyed what Brazil with souch potential was predicted to become & should have become

    3. what nonsense, there are numerous opportunities to serve hashem and do retzonoi in the office, and when a yid runs his office that way its a mikdash meat without question

  2. He made a tremendous kiddush Hashem. Hopefully it will serve as a lesson to us who live in Lakewood to stay focused and take pride in only that which is truly praiseworthy in Hashem's eyes!

    2. If Reb Malkiel gave the invocation, you would have been very disappointed that Reb Malkiel went to such a gathering.
You can't be disappointed about everything.

    3. It's the best we got, take your win and move on. Typical lakewood mentality of complaining.

    4. Whichever charedi you bring, others will complain
Rav berman has plenty of daas Torah, just not your dad Torah.
      And he's nothing like conservative.
And plenty of Tziyonim among charedim, except that people like you are in denial.

      Anyway,
His short speech was perfectly acceptable, even to you.

    5. Do you think Reb Moshe Shimon belongs on the dais at the inauguration of the clown in chief? Who else belongs there? Self-respecting Yidden keep far away from shtussim like that.

    6. Who would you have preferred? Your dad?

    7. Oh and you are Daas Torah.

    8. First, President Trump would have chose RAK the CEO, not RAMK. So you would have objected there too.

As for the Brazilian family, their uncle earned that money fair and square, till the French Police had him assassinated, which they still don't want to explain.

    9. Anon 8:01, AK hasn't been CEO for a long time.
French police did not kill his uncle. we all know what happened to him but everyone else was tactful enough not to bring it up until you came along.

AB, if you hate Lakewood so much, why do you choose to live here?

    10. Anon 4:06

He's still referred to as CEO.
Besides, I was differentiating him from his grandfather.
A RY, if he retires, is still referred to as RY.

There was a comment here alluding to unearned income.
Also, the French Police threatened his bodyguards (former Tzahal) from going in to protect him. To this day, they refuse to explain.

    11. Answering for Ab,
Because everywhere else [that had something going] Was snuffed out by this place

    12. "snuffed out by this place"? Do you mean that everyone else chose to abandon their own communities and overwhelm us here, while simultaneously complaining that Lakewood isn't good enough for them?

  5. hashem only allows the new daas torah mantra . Daas torah didnt exist years ago, it is a new daas. Last I checked Berman is a shomer shabbos frum yid. Glad he cares about yidin in eretz yisroel

Half of those people the mags & tabloids term frum nowadays aren't. They may be nice people.Even orthodox. That however wouldn't grant them the term Frum. That's how it used to be.Even a short couple decades ago
