- Lakewood committe claims that people can watch online faanews reports that a significant portion of Lakewood residents are effectively excluded from participating in or even accessing these virtual meetings. Many families in Lakewood, home to a large population of school-age children, are restricted by school policies requiring parents to pledge that their homes will not contain internet access, smartphones, or other smart devices. This restriction prevents these families from viewing or participating in online meetings.
Compounding the issue, many residents adhere to religious guidelines established by leading rabbis, who advocate refraining from internet-enabled devices, such as smartphones, tablets, or computers. These residents often rely on “kosher phones,” which are stripped of internet access and basic functions like email. As a result, they cannot watch or engage with virtual meetings.“When the township holds meetings exclusively online, it’s as if they’ve locked the door to the majority of the population,” said one frustrated resident. “We’re left without any way to participate in decisions that impact our lives.”
Blaming the lack of internet on the school is both petty and incorrect. We don’t have internet because we choose not to have it.
ReplyDeleteSome do so because of the schools they send have religious guidelines.
DeleteOthers do so because they are religious and follow ......
What phonies The same people who readily orchestrate those who made those guidelines
Deletehappen to be those who manipulate the Township
The politicians on the committee are all fake, phony, and frauds. They have given zero legitimate excuses as to why they refuse to allow the residents the opportunity to participate in live in-person public meetings.
ReplyDeleteAll they do is keep deflecting with ridiculous rationale trying to explain why they're actually doing us all a favor by forcing us to go on the internet in order to participate and view the proceedings.
You can always count on Ray, Menash, Isaac, and Meir to be krum like pretzels when it comes to representing their voter's interests. Oh, and that new lady on the committee, Fuentas, talks like she's clueless. She sounds like she still needs more time to catch up and understand what she needs to do. All she does is parrot the others..
That's why they put her in the committee. To be a puppet!!
