  1. Chevra,
Voting has consequences. Look what's going on in LA, because they voted for a moron.
And not voting is also just as bad.

  2. So did The Lakewood vaad put a placeholder candidate for BOE just to not have other candidates elected? There were 3 strong Boe candidates endorsed by Lakewoods leading talmidei chachomim who were gonna fight for the funding formula, instead the vaad pushes a no name candidate who dosent show up at the end. It may have been personal or other reasons but now let's have one of those 3 candidates elected to the boe.

Although I plan to finish my litigation, I have determined not to pay much attention to, and to publicly comment less often about, Lakewood. I no longer work for your district and it makes no difference to me professionally if the organization goes under. I do care about education but I now another school district in northern NJ lays claim to my kochos, a district to which my co-counsel brought billions of dollars by way of the Abbott litigation.

Here is what I have to say:

The one state monitor that has remained in Lakewood is the first monitor, since the beginning in 2014, that has taken the position that Lakewood DOES NOT need more funding. The formula IS NOT deficient. By contrast, my adversaries, every commissioner of education since we began litigation in 2014, has opposed the need for more state aid and held that any deficiency is due to insufficient local taxation and because of BOE incompetence. The commissioner now finally has a man in the trenches on his side. The other state monitor resigned because he held, like every monitor before him, that the district needs more funding.

So sorry Lakewood. Your press that thought it worthwhile to report the fire commissioner election but not that of the BOE, your leaders betrayed me and the cause, and secretly engaged in imprudent horse trading; your BOE acted, or I should say in-acted, because they do nothing, deleteriously to the public interest; the electorate just ignorantly takes its marching orders, which is contrary to the fundamental driving priniciple of any republic, virtue, the duty of the citizen to engage in public affairs; and the bosses failed to promote the education of our youth, and protect both yiddishe and goyishe momon and property.

I am happy that I never climbed up the corporate ladder in the district organization. It is no longer my employer.
