  1. Our committee men will make sure that the intersection by Central and careneta does not get fixed properly. Mark my words. They are responsible for route 9 not getting dualized south of the lake. They are responsible for the thoughtless and irresponsible growth. And they are responsible for the tremendous gridlock and they are loving every second of it.

    1. They are responsible for the millions of wasted hours agmas nefesh bittul Torah and loss of quality of life for the last 20 years for every car that sat in traffic on Central Ave and the 9

    2. I don't think most residents are aware yet that the NJDOT made an announcement that they plan on very shortly banning all left turns from Route 9 North onto Central Ave. They're also banning all left turns from Route 9 South onto Hurley Ave. This will make the flow of traffic a bit more efficient on Route 9.

The only option to access the Central Ave Corridor, including Caranetta, from Route 9 North will be to take a long circutious route by making a left onto James and then a right onto Sunset Rd. This will basically redirect alot of the Route 9 traffic onto Sunset, making it traffic hell for those living and travelling on that road.

The reason why this is happening is due to Lakewood's complaints about how bad the traffic problems are on the State-owned Route 9. So instead the State is shifting the problem over to the local roads. But the real cause for the whole mess is because the committeemen appointed members to the land use boards that kept on approving developments so close to Route 9 that now it's become too expensive for the state to buy out all the property owners and knock down their houses in order to widen the highway.

Bekitzur, our elected officials did a good job screwing this town!

    3. Don't blame the elected officials, blame those that elect them. If they are re-elected every cycle that means they are supported in their actions.

    1. This list is very spot on (minus the last line of course).
In short- treat the common folk a little better: easier parking/bussing, and make the food actually accessible and available

I have no complaints about the big donors getting their heart's desires. I would just like the rest of us to have our simple needs covered too.

    1. If you think about it, they should be embarrassed. The division of the peasants and the rich happening in front of everyone. Then there are a ton of bachurim just watching it unfold. Rib Steak and Rack of Lamb is th least of our worries. Cigars and mor alcohol than you can imagine. All in the name of Torah! Where is our self respect? What happened to us as a Klal?.

    2. Are we socialists? Why should the donors not receive something in thanks for their donations? There is nothing wrong with treating them well.

What is wrong is billing this stadium event as כבודה של תורה. It is a lie, and lies are wrong. It is a way of thanking people for giving money, which is fine. But don't misname it.
