- The Powerball jackpot climbs to $1.6 billion, setting a new  record the drawing is motzei shabbos with a cash option of $782.4 million.

- Media sources The individual has been interviewed and sources described him as a man who may have autism and said he had been bullied in the past. The man spoke to law enforcement of anger he said he had toward Jewish people, but allegedly said he would not hurt them because he wouldn't want to get into trouble, “He expressed radical, extremist views and ideology, as well as an extreme amount of hate against the Jewish community,” He is from North Jersey.  NJAG said  that the increased police presence would continue at least through the weekend as a precaution 


- A conference call with community rabbonim and Roshei yeshiva took place  on the upcoming election urging everyone to go out and vote. The UENJ tuition relief campaign voting drive is asking everyone to register and vote makes no difference republican or Democrat. Other issues of the day were discussed such as the gashmiyus and influences that have a negative impact on the ruchniyus.

- Jackson land Swap proposes to move school project from Leesville rd to township land on the Lakewood border in the Cross st area Shore news reports. Mayor Michael Reina is said to have brokered the deal while his challenger in the upcoming elections called it election malarkey. 

- Update: The FBI Newark office is confirming that the suspect responsible for the threat made against New Jersey Synagogues "has been located and the threat has now been mitigated."

- FBI has not isssued any update about the credible threat to shuls in NJ. In NY police say no reason to panic everyone can go to shul on Shabbos as they monitor the situation. Heavy police presence around Lakewood and surrounding towns.

- The Jewish Institute for National Security of America also revealed this afternoon that there has been an elaborate phishing and hacking scheme by someone purporting to be one of their employees. It’s unclear if the two reports are related. (Hamodia)

- BDE: Petirah of R' Yaakov Moshe Solomon Z"L of Lakewood. He was the owner of the former Solomon suits hotel on Madison Ave and was previously as a cook in Yeshiva Bais Medrash Govoha serving thousands of yeshiva bochurim He was a baal yesurim who yet he was  always helping others. The levaya and kevura is in Eretz Yisrael.

- House Republican Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy met Thursday evening with the Skverer Rebbe in New Square, advocating for a reversal of Skver’s endorsement of Democratic Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney for Congress, and pushing for Skver to back Republican Assemblyman Mike Lawler instead, in New York’s 17th congressional district  President Joe Biden had previously called the Rebbes of Skver and Vizhnitz-Monsey seeking an endorsement for Maloney. The Rebbe, speaking through an interpreter, replied that the community owed a debt of gratitude to Maloney, who had helped it in the past. The Rebbe also said that former President Bill Clinton, who had helped the community while in office, reached out now for the first time in two decades asking for the Maloney endorsemen (Hamodia)

- With the downfall of the left government in Israel and ouster of the Metetz party, many shuls in eretz yisrael will hold a kiddush thanking hashem for removal of the memsheles zadon. More than half of the incoming knesset members are shower shabbos. 39 ministers and knesset members of the current defeated coalition will not be returning to the knesset.

 - US ambassador to Israel Tom Nides says he poke to Shas party chairman Aryeh Deri this morning and congratulated him “on his successful election results.”

  2. It's so nice of Reina to offer a different piece of land. He's missing the point of having the schools in Jackson for the Jackson students not in Jackson bordering Lakewood which will cause the same traffic as before. Definitely election malarkey. The fools will vote for him again.

  3. There’s no way to make Jackson schools for Jackson students and that’s not the reason the schools are going there.

  5. I'm curious, I was assured by Rav Ribner that the Fallsburg RY hates everyone who has a whiff of modernity. How do the people being mezalzel other rabbonim over their derech square that with this?
