- U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland  named former federal prosecutor Jack Smith as special counsel for two ongoing criminal investigations by the Department of Justice of former President Donald  who will recommend whether criminal charges should be lodged against the ex-president.

- Off shabbos this week for mesivtas and BM some yeshivos will have off next shabbos.

- Shabbos Chevron thousands gather to spend shabbos Chayei Sarah in the city of Chevron

- Admor M'Strikov will spend shabbos in Lakewood at the Oak & Vine area at BM Sanz Klausenberg and in the Chateau park shul.

-Bingo is having a early black Friday sale 

- Adderall, a drug commonly prescribed to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), is in short supply and people are struggling to fill their prescriptions. Local pharmacies in Lakewood have run out of stock.

-A lawsuit was filed against yeshiva Toras Chaim for the dormitory application  brought on by their neighbors who are seeking to overturn the Township Planning Board's approval of the yeshiva's dormitory expansion without regard for the privacy concerns expressed by the neighbors, which were caused by numerous variances the Board granted, the neighbors. - On Wednesday Lakewood public s school parents huddled in a restaurant around a 75-inch screen to watch the latest Lakewood Board of Education meeting via Zoom. Lakewood remains the only district in the area that has not returned to in-person board meetings since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, APP reports. The gathering was organized to bring attention to the rise of bullying in Lakewood schools. But despite their effort, the parents never had the chance to join the meeting because the Zoom link through which the public should be able to make comments was not placed on the district website in time.
