Monday June 7 News Updates Lakewood

- Murphy still mandates masks for children but due to heat will let teachers relax the rules "school officials are empowered to relax masking among students and staff in their buildings given extreme weather conditions".
-Satmar Rebbe Rav Aaron heading to Eretz Yisrael to visit Meron the rebbe said he felt that he has to go daven there at this time and specifically he recalled when he was there 6 years ago for a shabbos how packed it was the tents were shaking and who knows what could have happened in retrospect after the Meron tragedy.

-Republican Primary Candidate, Hirsh Singh, paid a visit to the Sephardic Community in Deal NJ
- parshas Korach: A  parking lot collapsed into a giant sinkhole at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem on Monday afternoon nobody had been injured in the incident.
The sinkhole fell near where tunnels are being dug on Highway 16.

- Trump overshadows Republican primary for New Jersey governor as personal attacks fly in closing days. The GOP front-runner, former state Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli, has tried to walk a tightrope of supporting Trump without making him a campaign centerpiece. He says he’d rather talk about local issues like property taxes and Murphy’s pandemic response. But his opponents have made that harder. One, Hoboken pastor Phil Rizzo, posed for a picture with Trump in Florida, saying that “New Jersey 2021 can be a redo of 2016.” Another candidate, Atlantic County engineer Hirsh Singh, calls Trump “the greatest president of my lifetime.”
