- Jackson  A plan to convert a township home into a synagogue has been delayed until later this summer. The shul on South New Prospect Road requested a delay until August as the  owner is looking into purchasing an adjacent lot.
-Kosher food prices rise due to inflation as does the price of kosher beef  as fears of shortages were amplified by the cyberattack that halted U.S. livestock production.

 -Republican lawmakers blast Fauci after thousands of emails released that show Fauci received messages in early 2020 warning that the virus had been “engineered” or may have otherwise emerged from a lab in Wuhan, China while publicly dismissing the possibility.

  2. Kosher beef and poultry has its own supply chain, nothing to do with the general US problems.
    Of course, they can get away with it.

  3. How does it make any sense that kosher beef prices rose because of the hack on a NON-kosher plant?? We've either been eating treif for years or the owners are just looking for an excuse to raise prices!

    1. The kosher meat industry makes money by selling off the non kosher part of cows and other animals. If that industry is effected it raises prices across the board.

    2. Problem is supply chain, not supply.
      And if they can't deliver, they won't slaughter as much, and won't buy as much live cattle, leading to drop in cattle prices since there's less demand.

    1. The reason that the prices for non-kosher beef went up was due to the hack of JBS - which is a processing company - not because the price of cattle went up. They're just using this as an excuse to stick it to the little guy.
