    1. Its a know fact that some corporations will locate their offices near local airports where their personal private small jets can land. Right now only single engine propeller planes can land.

  6. When is out township office going to open to the public? When are the planning and zoning board meetings going to open for the public? Why other towns are open but Lakewood is still closed? Why is every store in Lakewood open but yet our township is closed? Can someone please explain? Thank you

  7. I' m joking but I think Lakewood needs a longer runway is the runway is too short since Lakewood has expanded over the years

  8. A lot of resources tax money and grants are being pumped into the Lakewood airport. The township gave over the land nearby to the LIC who sold it off to developers.
Also the flying clubs and some private planes were kicked out of Allaire Wall airport and the Lakewood taxpayers are bailing them out by improving the airport.
They are building a park and ride near the airport guess what it will be used for.

  10. Why should my tax dollars pay for a runway for some big honcho to land his private jet ?

    1. Because your 20,000 of tax dollars is getting another 180,000 of federal grants . And the big honcho will create value in office and industrial properties which will enrich the tax base by a lot more than a one time 20,000 outlay.

    2. Because they will bring Money and Business in to Lakewood

    3. The big honcho will 'create value' without the airport too. Nobody is moving to Lakewood because of the airport.
This is another way to continue the true American system. Rob the poor to give the rich, and call it 'trickle down'.

  11. Because your tax dollars pay for a lot of stupid things and you don’t deserve a penny of it for anything that will benefit you.

  15. It wouldn’t be worse than if a shul was built smack in middle of a busy street with a few measley parking spots.
