Street names and addresses are most effective when they are both easy to read and write.imagine all the delivery ppl and mailman trying to pronounce Shefa Chaim. it might just be more of a disgrace than an honor to his memory

ReplyDeleteThey don’t have to pronounce the street name. Just have to know how to read it.
ReplyDeleteThese organizations and institutions that borrowed a Jewish word are absolutely sick. How is the memory of the Klausenberger Rebbe any enhanced by calling a name of a street after him? How is he more respected through that? This desperate need to shove themselves in people's faces to remind us all that they exist is in inverse proportion to their actual relevance to society.
ReplyDeleteThis is sick, and we should not condone it. Let them bury KJ in their foolish fights for relevance.
Rush was a ohev yisrael and from the chasdei umos haolam
ReplyDeleteRush gave the biggest shiur klali with the largest audience of bnei torah
ReplyDeletehe was the rush yeshiva.
ReplyDeleteSo now the treifineh internet is kosher for mosdos to raise money on it.
ReplyDeletenothing new here
DeletePlease explain why 1000 people learning in bais nesrash is safer than bochurim going around collecting. The only thing that they are targeting is the tzedaka collecting this is ridiculous
ReplyDelete1000% correct. This 2021 era of cancel-culture needs to stop.
DeleteEven a fan like trump could find nothing to say except that Rush could plappel for hours at once!
ReplyDeleteLimbaugh was a disgusting human being, he brought out the worst in people. He trained Bnei Torah to think krum. He taught them how to make matters personal instead of about the issue. His voice grated on and on as he made sure to discuss everything instead of actual issues. I could switch him off, but then would hear his nauseating foolishness in Yeshiva, at the office, and in Shul.
לא לחנם הלך הזרזר אצל העורב אלא מפני שהוא מינו
A suitable friend for the likes of Trump
So our deranged Trump Rush hater is back.
DeleteIts the other way around The bnei torah listened to him because he was smart and spoke tzum zach he didnt train anyone how to think or teach anyone.

“Some ideas are so stupid that only intellectuals believe them.”
“Every generation imagines itself to be more intelligent than the one that went before it, and wiser than the one that comes after it.”
“Power is in tearing human minds to pieces and putting them together again in new shapes of your own choosing.”
“I enjoy talking to you. Your mind appeals to me. It resembles my own mind except that you happen to be insane.”
“You are a slow learner, Winston."
"How can I help it? How can I help but see what is in front of my eyes? Two and two are four."
"Sometimes, Winston. Sometimes they are five. Sometimes they are three. Sometimes they are all of them at once. You must try harder. It is not easy to become sane.”
“For, after all, how do we know that two and two make four? Or that the force of gravity works? Or that the past is unchangeable? If both the past and the external world exist only in the mind, and if the mind itself is controllable – what then?”
“Reality exists in the human mind, and nowhere else.”
“To see what is in front of one’s nose needs a constant struggle.”
“To die hating them, that was freedom.”
“There was truth and there was untruth, and if you clung to the truth even against the whole world

Does anyone still listen or care what Cuomo has to say?
ReplyDeleteI will forever have hakaras hatov to Rush for convincing me to get off government programs and a lifetime of dependency, and to work for my parnasah and become self sufficient. I am a happier person, I feel more fulfilled, and society is better off. My kids have a happier father, and someone to emulate with hard, honest work and responsibility.
ReplyDeleteThank you for changing my life for the better.
RIP Rush!
"Name change: Lakewood township will be changing the name of a portion of Zinfandel Road To North Zinfandel Changing The Name Of A Portion Of Parkview Avenue To Kiryas Sanz Avenue and a portion of Edgecomb Avenue To Shefa Chaim Avenue"
ReplyDeleteWhile most of us are in golus and operate carefully accordingly, Others...
I think they should change the names of one of the streets, perhaps in Westgate, to Rush Limbaugh Boulevard

DeleteFor me, Rush died years ago, when, during the Republican 2016 primary, he said it's not my job to push people to vote for the conservative candidate. (Since many of his listeners supported the non-ideological Trump.) Then he redefined his show as not being about conservatism but only about being "anti-left." By his own admission he was done at that point being a voice for conservatism.
