If they base it on 2019 returns, then in what way is it a Covid stimulus? It's just helping people who were low-income BEFORE Covid. What about all the people whose income dropped after that?

ReplyDeleteWouldnt this be raising the threshold? it wouldnt allow couples making 150,000 to receive it anymore, only those making less than 100k...
ReplyDeleteif they don't base that on family size they are idiots, a family making over 100k with bunch of kids is has less money than a couple making 100k without kids, (family size also adds variables..) hard to see why consistently low income families that are on all the programs, maxing out food stamps etc... should also get this, but a middle class working family, not getting thousands from programs shouldn't be included... after its all added up(taxes, insurance, hud, snap, heap..), it very probable the low income family is walking away with more than the middle class family
