Concerns of coronavirus were first brought up at the township meeting last year on February 6, 2020 11 shevat 5780 and followed up again a month later a week before purim on the 9th of Adar at the time officials said it is not life threatening has a low mortality rate and is like the common cold.
March 5th 2020
They first downplayed the virus and denied that people were positive when in truth people were sick. They put article on tls that no known positive cases after purim. One township official hung up a corona balloon on purim than months later they blamed the uptick on the community for following Trump.
ReplyDeleteThere were many of us warning everyone on Whats App. We got made fun of by TLS. I will never forget that. And I still have the picture of the Corona balloon in front of Menashe Millers house on Purim, making light of the situation. I asked as many people I knew to send a message to Yeshiva to cancel the purim party. All we were able to get was a sign asking that nobody approach the dais.
ReplyDeleteI am writing this now because I want everyone to know that there are still people being hospitalized daily. Many of them are under 40 with no health conditions. Many have been put on respirators and we do not want another wave of deaths chas vsholom like we experienced last year after purim.
Please don't make large parties. Please don't dance with any bochrim collecting at your house. Please be as careful as we should have been last year. We are on the verge of ending this machla with vaccinations becoming available for everyone. If you don't know that you ever had Corona, please stay safe so you can enjoy Purim next year.
I'm not one who knows what's going on in yeshiva. I know of 4 yeshiva that smartly have canceled collecting and are going to keep all the festivities in house this year.
DeleteHershel, there are multiple chasunos every night with hundreds fun unzere tantzing in close proximity nightly. Why is purim night any different? Why should i not tantz with bochrim this year?
DeleteWhy are we taking out on Purim
ReplyDeleteTime to move out of this craziness, manbe it was supposed to be a wake up call about true bein adam lechaveiro . We definitely failed like crazy , im scared of the din shamayim for our behavior , may hashem pasken that we all are shotim and are bshogeg maybe all this any vaxxer talk helps out have a din shotah
ReplyDeleteLaat year we were told that we will enjoy purim and pesach next year
ReplyDeleteSome people don't know how to change their minds according to updated information. Some people stay tuck in their original mindset, even though circumstances change.

Look teh township committe has dealt with it. They have closed down all public meetings so now they dont care about the people. Zoning and planning board have been approving development sand buildings like on Route 88 when neighbors opposed it anmd the board and lawyers ignored the people. The peole dont exist anymore and public officials do as they please. all because of corona....Right.
ReplyDeleteRoute 88 is a scam .
ReplyDeleteCorruption at its best . The right developer knowing the right people .
Putting that aside , the virus was developing and still is we can only work with the knowledge we had than and have now ! So you thought Purim would be different this year .
...!
Grow up !!
And the fact that everyone had turned a blind eye regarding massive simcha celebrations revolting 🤮.
ReplyDeleteSimchas is where the virus spreads the most ....
Not schools ...
Follow the science and follow the damn guidelines when making a simcha ...
Be grateful schools and Yeshiva’s can be open .
Be grateful for that ...
The Posek haDor Dr Anthony Fauci gave a Psak in February, it's only a virus.
