A message posted to the Toms River community announcing the founding of Hatzolah for the Toms River community noting the need of a faster respone time and greater service. Currently Hatzolah of central Jersey covers the greater Lakewood area. The letter does not specify any names of a board or Rabbonim behind it.
-Dear Toms River residents and business owners, With gratitude to Hashem, we are excited to announce the creation of our own Toms River Hatzolah Volunteer Service! Many in our community have for too long felt the need for this special organization to function specifically in this area, in order to ensure a much faster response time and greater service.
Boruch Hashem the time has come! We have assembled a great team of volunteers who have accepted with great sacrifice to work for this cause. We are currently accepting applications, and we urgently ask all trained EMTs and EMT-Paramedics in our community who are willing to join, to please request a application.
Please send an email requesting an application to the following address:
applicants@tomsriverhatzolah.com
We ask the entire community to please be aware and take notice of coming announcements, as we will be announcing a special number, and exact details, as well as sponsorship opportunities.
May the work of our members be blessed by our Father in heaven, and may we only see Simchas and much Hatzlacha.

The website for tr hatzolah does not work
ReplyDeleteThe People of Toms River want all the benefits of Lakewood , the schools , the restaurants ..
ReplyDeleteBut none of the downsides .....
Not good
How does being separate ensure faster response times?
ReplyDeleteIt's very simple. The aren't enough members in TR and hatzolah is giving a hard time accepting more members in the area. Areas like TR and Jackson have given from the most money to hatzolah the last few years and TR decided their money would be better spent opening their own hatzolah and letting anyone qualified on instead of all the politics
ReplyDeleteHow will the neighbors feel? Doesn't TR have a core,? Great. Bring Brooklyn here.
ReplyDeleteWhile the costs of running two org. Is a wasted expense.. there's a brewing crisis as Lakewood - taxpayers are funding millions of dollars for the surrounding townships. Starting with all the untaxed school and shul/org. properties which Jackson and toms river residents are using are all located in Lakewood - costing Lakewood taxpayers millions. It used to be everyone purchased a home in lakewood - now it's only if you need extra services for your child do you buy a house in Lakewood. (The ratio is getting to crisis levels) Toms river and Jackson basically don't get a single family that requires services..Just wondering do the voluntary emergency services fill up their vehicles with gas at the Lakewood Public works and go on and service Toms River/Jackson? It's time Lakewood starts suing the surrounding townships to recoup their losses!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great idea. Lakewood Hatzalah is san old boys club. If it was truly about helping people there would be no politics at play. Bikur cholim, and Tomchei shabbos don't only let the elite few join.. Toms River community is large enough to support their own ambulance crew. Kol Hacovod!
ReplyDeleteToms River recently opened their.own Vaad Hakashrus wth 3 local Rabbis.
