On the video, one of the frum women said the kids took off their masks to eat something. Whether that warranted them getting thrown off I cannot say. But to report it is because the 18 Month old wasn't masked sounds inaccurate to me, based on what I heard.

Some people have short memories, and don't understand cause and effect.
ReplyDeletePeople made fun of the Aiva issue, not understanding how ripple effect works. It is quite possible that our portrayal in the news as a nation who ignores covid 19 contributed to it, and it is quite possible that our actions caused those news articles to be printed.
Even if it wasn't true, we would be obligated to try and ensure that it doesn't happen. And that is what Chazal mean when they mention Aiva, not that there will be an immediate pogrom. But these kinds of stories make us into pariahs, they make antisemitism acceptable. Down the road, we might pay the price

DeleteIt was because of the 18 month old not the other children because the other children's families were not asked to deplane. They kicked off a young couple with a 18 month old because the baby wasn't in a mask. After that other families chose to get off in solidarity. When it came to reticketing they refused to reticent the guy who took the video - have something to hide? Please follow the facts and not assumptions....
