Assasination Attempt on Trump

- Trump Assassin video shows him crawling on the roof while multiple people point him out to police. They yelled about him for almost an entire minute

- Senior House Democrat tells Axios they have "resigned" themselves to a second Trump presidency after the assa*sination attempt.

The report also claimed that all talk about replacing Biden has stopped for the time being.

"We're all just focused on expressing condolences... and keeping our teams safe," a House Democrat, critical of Biden, reportedly said. A second House Democrat says they are accepting the potential that Trump will be the next president. "We've all resigned ourselves to a second Trump presidency," they said.

- Thomas Matthew Crooks was reportedly rejected from his school's rifle team because of his bad shot according to the New York Post.

-Donald Trump seen landing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin ahead of the RNC. A close up of Trump’s ear has still not been made public.

- REPORT: Donald Trump says a last millisecond head tilt likely saved his life as slowed-down footage shows the bullet grazing his ear.

If Trump hadn't moved his head, the bullet would likely have hit the rear of his head, ending his life.

Trump says he turned his head to look at the illegal immigration statistics that were on the big screen at his rally. "That chart that I was going over saved my life," Trump reportedly said to former White House doctor Ronny Jackson. "The border patrol saved my life."

"If I hadn’t pointed at that chart and turned my head to look at it, that bullet would have hit me right in the head."

- The gunman at Trump's rally pointed a rifle at an officer who found him on a rooftop shortly before he opened fire, two law enforcement officials told AP.

One local police officer climbed to the roof and encountered Crooks, who pointed his rifle at the officer. The officer retreated down the ladder, and Crooks quickly took a shot toward Trump, and that’s when Secret Service snipers shot him, said the officials, who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation.

- Pennsylvania State Police Identify Victims Shot During Attempted Assassination of Former President Trump. “The deceased victim was identified as Corey Comperatore, 50, of Sarver, PA. The second victim has been identified as 57-year-old David Dutch, of New Kensington, PA, who is currently listed in stable condition. The third victim was identified as 74-year-old James Copenhaver, of Moon Township, PA. He is also listed in stable condition.”

- Trump: Based on yesterday’s terrible events, I was going to delay my trip to Wisconsin, and The Republican National Convention, by two days, but have just decided that I cannot allow a “shooter,” or potential assassin, to force change to scheduling, or anything else. Therefore, I will be leaving for Milwaukee, as scheduled, at 3:30 P.M. TODAY. Thank you!  DJT

- Biden: "We don't yet have any information about the motive of the shooter. I urge everyone, everyone please... Let the FBI do their job."

- The shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks had explosive devices in his car that he drove to the Trump rally according to the Wall Street Journal. Police say they were tipped off of suspicious packages near the suspect.

"Investigators were still working to make sure the scene was clear well into the night. They also searched Crooks’s home and spoke with his family." The FBI still says there is no clear motive.

-Trump releases new statement following assassination attempt, writes, "Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers yesterday, as it was God alone who prevented the unthinkable from happening. We will FEAR NOT, but instead remain resilient in our Faith and Defiant in the face of Wickedness. Our love goes out to the other victims and their families. We pray for the recovery of those who were wounded, and hold in our hearts the memory of the citizen who was so horribly killed. In this moment, it is more important than ever that we stand United, and show our True Character as Americans, remaining Strong and Determined, and not allowing Evil to Win. - Thomas Matthew Crooks ID'd as the suspect who shot at Donald Trump at his PA rally.

Crooks was 20-years-old from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania which was about 40 miles south of the Butler rally. An AR-15 was reportedly recovered at the scene. Crooks was apparently shot in the head after he tried taking out the former president.

- The Shooter at today’s Trump Rally in Pennsylvania has been Identified by the FBI as a 20-Year-Old Male from the Local Butler County Area, his Name has not yet been Released.

- Eye-witness says he saw the suspect climb on top of a nearby structure outside of the event and notified the police who didn't take action.

"The guy army crawled up the building 50 feet from us... he had a rifle." "He's crawling! I'm thinking, why is Trump still speaking!"

"I'm sitting there pointing at him for two or three minutes!"

I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. NYP: Former President Donald Trump was wounded on a Pennsylvania campaign stage by a sniper’s bullet Saturday night in an apparent assassination attempt that nearly claimed his life, law enforcement sources told The Post.

Trump, who was speaking at a packed outdoors rally in Butler, Pa. when bullets started flying, later posted on his Truth Social site saying he “felt the bullet ripping through [his] skin,” and that it “pierced the upper part of my right ear.”

“I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin,” said the 78-year-old presumptive Republican presidential nominee. “Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening.”

Shots broke out just after 6:10 p.m. as Trump showed off a chart of border crossing numbers. Footage shows him grabbing his ear as shots are fired — with the crowd screaming behind him — and then someone yelling “Get down, get down, get down, get down!” as Secret Service agents piled on top of him to shield him.

As blood gushed from his ear, Trump was then rushed off stage — but not before boldly pumping his fist into the air and twice telling the crowd to “fight!” He was then whisked away in a car to a Pittsburgh-area hospital.

“He came within inches of having his face shot open,” a senior law enforcement source told The Post.

The shooter, a white man who has not yet been identified because he wasn’t carrying identification on him, was killed by a Secret Service assault team.

Local prosecutors said one rally-goer was killed and another wounded. Their identities have not been released.

The gunman was believed to have crawled on the roof of a manufacturing plant about 400 feet from the former president at the Butler Farm Show grounds — outside the security perimeter, according to law enforcement sources.

The counter-sniper team, which sources told The Post killed the shooter, returned fire from the roof of another building close to where Trump was located — behind the audience stands.

An AR-style semi-automatic assault rifle was recorded from the scene, law enforcement sources told the Associated Press. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer announced that his panel will open an investigation into the shooting.
