$60,000 for a new position of Business development
$40,000 for a car to be used by LDC employees which is 2
$2000 car allowance for the director
$7,000 for a appraisal on the current building that is leased to Blinds to go off Cedarbridge Ave.
Increase total budget to $176,821 from a few months ago to a total of $684,321. (Salaries are $331,542 and benefits $174,179)

- R' Aaron Lang and professor Paul Tractenberg,who filed the initial lawsuit in 2014 to fix the funding formula for Lakewood said they plan to appeal this dep of Education opinion and may go directly to the state Supreme Court. app reports. The state Department of Education on Monday said that Lakewood Schools do not need more state funding and, instead, should improve management and fiscal responsibility.

- At the Lakewood zoning board last night
After 5 years of going back and forth on the application of Washington and Spruce the zoning board denied the application and told both parties to  come back with an agreed proposal the chairman called out the public spectacle of bringing sown the rabbi and 50 people which ended up fighting causing a chilul hashem of brother against brother.

An application to build a 74 unit apartment building off Chestnut and rt 70 was approved for the usage but not the actual map yet. Board members said they are concerned about safety and busing as children will be there and the plan will need to lower the number of apts. a member of the public spoke up about how dangerous this is as kids can get killed R"L walking along rt 70 he said this is zoned commercial for a reason. 

The Lake Terrace application will continue at the next meeting

    1. the seniors built this town? huh? pretty sure my generation built this town and then the baby boomers moved in from ny, toronto, etc. to benefit from what we built. but don't worry, we are happy to keep providing for you. we like doing tzedakah and chesed.

    2. @anonymous 11:45. Firstly, that is a disgusting way to reply to someone who posted a very neutral post. Second, believe it or not, there were seniors here from way back who did not move in recently from out of town. There are people here from R' Ahron's and R' Shneur's days, who were here at least as long as you, and maybe longer. But really this is childish. The post at 8:36 was obviously posted by someone who was here a long time and did not deserve such a diserespectful response.

    Is this the same one?
    Why then is LDC giving away a quarter million dollars to a particular business over everyone else in town?
    Why are certain well connected people always getting the grants or ldc monies

  6. There's hundreds of businesses in town why is LDC under weisberg giving 250k grant to the senior center and others only get small loans
    Why is there no public discussion on spending tax dollars like this
