Thursday April 4 News Updates Lakewood

- Lakewood girls high schools and older grade elementary schools will be providing eclipse glasses and will accommodate for the students to see the eclipse. The boys yeshivos will be during bein hasdorim and some are providing glasses.

-  The Sadigura rebbe from Bmei Brak will ne making a  24 hr visit to Lakewood this coming Monday ro partake in a wedding of a relative. The rebbe just made a bris for his son. There rebbe will daven Tuesday morning at the Sadigura BM in Lakewood and return to EY

- Residents of the Tallymore neighborhood in Toms River, NJ were left shaken this morning after a series of burglaries struck three homes overnight. The brazen burglars targeted houses, leaving one homeowner completely cleaned out, taking valuables including jewelry, cash, and even making off with a car. Matzav.com 
Thankfully, no injuries were reported, but the incidents have left the community on edge.

Mir yeshiva in Yerushalayim launches online campaign in light of the geziras giyus against bnei Torah, they are asking to adopt the funding of 530 avreichim and 712 bochurim over the next four month the monthly cost for a youngerman is 850 shekel here

  1. Why do the bachurim need money? American yeshivos don't pay the bachurim... Genuine question.

    1. The bachurim don't get the money . The state pays the yeshiva about 130 dollars per month for each bochur so the yeshiva can pay the rebeim and food and expenses. This is between 20 to 35 pwrcent of the yeshivas budget.They are just asking for people to take over those payments. I would think that this is self explanatory

  3. Shrewd..Need to get charedim obsessed with a narrow single topic & away from the real deciding larger long term stuff, so let's pull up that perennial Draft. Like a charm,without fail.
    They may even seek a deal with our preferred candidate like a combo of faustian Stockholm syndrome

  5. Why don't we test out this theory. Let's close the army and support the torah. What do you think will happen? It only works if we have both, and why should the burden not be shared?
