- Not a Purim joke: New Jersey state senator has proposed a bill that would ban the sale of non-flushable baby wipes throughout the state -- and would punish anyone who violates the ban with a fine of as much as $20,000. Earlier this week, Democratic lawmaker Joseph Cryan, introduced the bill, which notes that non-flushable baby wipes can mistakenly get flushed down a toilet leading to problems for municipal septic systems. If the bill is approved, anyone who sells non-flushable baby wipes in New Jersey could face a $10,000 on first offense and a $20,000 fine on any subsequent offenses.

  3. Ocean County Superior Court Assignment Judge Francis Hodgson denied to stay Lakewood Township's new ordinance which permits banquet halls and catering facilities as an accessory use in all schools in non-residential zones.

This means that the ordinance will remain in effect pending the outcome of the lawsuit.

  4. Back in January, Lakewood Township, Lakewood Housing Authority, and Ocean County were slammed with a second lawsuit that claims that a guardrail that was once removed from Cedar Bridge Avenue in Lakewood is heavily to blame for a devastating traffic crash last summer.

Ocean County is now fighting strongly to get out of the lawsuit. Lakewood Township has not yet responded to the lawsuit.

  7. From evergreen plaza to the new shopping center on brick road where Breadbury will never be able to open for a lack of parking. The the negligent and purposeful lack of proper planning is on full display.

  8. I actually think it's a great idea to ban baby wipes. A big amount of shuls are strugglingg with sewer backups because of the ppl who flush them, and the same goes to tenants and all public places. It's literally an emergency
