    1. Mexican concert

    2. At what point is our township going to stop spending our tax dollars defending our lack of enforcement for clear violations. The legal complaint was making its rounds on many chat groups tonight. The Lake Terrace owner has zero justification for what he’s been doing.

  2. OC Sheriff Alert: Lakewood- The event at Lake Terrace, 1690 Oak Rd has been canceled. No one will be permitted into the area.

  3. Mexican concert was canceled after a lawsuit with a neighbor about the noise etc.. but weddings and other events will continue to be held

    1. The lawsuit was not about the noise. It was about the several violations of law involved in Lame Terrace’s activities. Read the lawsuit. What’s interesting is that this is not the only lawsuit against them, and the Twp is forced to keep footing the legal bills to defend Lake Terrace’s activities in court. No wonder the Twp has no money left to pay for anything else. But tell me please why I should have to pay my property tax to defend its wealthy operators?

    2. Lake Terrace is privately owned.
      They pay their own legal fees

    3. No, the township is the one being sued.

    4. That’s not true. The Township has also been named as a defendant in each of the lawsuits and we have to pay legal fees to outside law firms to defend ourselves due to the zoning officer not doing her job. These fees are adding to many thousands of dollars and it gets me very upset. We should stop giving cover to this guy. It’s costing us way too much!

    5. The defendants named in the lawsuits are:

      The Township Committee of the Township of Lakewood;
      Zoning Officer of the Township of Lakewood;
      Director of Code Enforcement of the Township of Lakewood;
      KBS Mt. Prospect, LLC;
      Lake Terrace Managers, LLC.

      So, to ask the question again, why must the taxpayers of Lakewood be forced to deal with Lake Terrace’s costly issues?? We all know that he won’t be reimbursing our costly legal bills.

  4. What's wrong with concerts or weddings in Lake Terrace? There are no residential properties near there, why is the owner not allowed to make some money?
    Yidden can't go to concerts, but what is wrong with Goyim going there?
    I don't understand the problem at all.

    1. Because it's not zoned as a concert hall. Simply following the rules is for some reason very difficult in Lakewood. Not hurting anyone isn't the criteria, it's about following rules.

    2. Oh please. Everyone knows that the rules change depending on who you know. Look at Westgate...

  5. My criteria is 'hurting anyone'. If a person breaks the rules without hurting anyone, then I don't care. It isn't my problem.
    If a person keeps the rules and hurts someone, I do care.

    1. 1. Your criteria is to disrespect the law whenever you decide that your not really hurting anybody. Dina D'malchusa Dina is not relevant to you. That speaks volumes.

      2. As explained earlier, go read the various lawsuits where there are several pages elaborating on the damages the neighboring businesses are suffering as a result of what has taken place. Just because you fail to understand a problem does not mean that there's no problem.

    2. You're the same type of person that'll park in a handicapped parking spot or block someone in his driveway, because in your opinion it's just for a minute and nobody is really being inconvenienced. Which yeshiva did you get your chinuch in?

    3. The same yeshiva that was mechanech people to pay for a lawyer to stop a shul being built.

    4. I never wrote that I don't keep the law. I just don't care about someone else who doesn't. I can live and let live. I am more disturbed by people who don't care about others.

      And I have no idea what parking in handicapped spots, a clear violation of Bein Adam Lachaveiro, has to do with this.
