  1. Killing people for political gain is unforgivable.

Sending covid cases to nursing homes as well as overwhelming hospitals & denying help because Trump sent it KILLED my family member. (The military ship, the nurses that were sent from across the country & weren't used, and the covid treatments that were outlawed)

    WE WILL NEVER FORGET!

    1. I don't know what it is with the rest of you, but I don't care about the Vaad or anyone else here. All that matters to me is who the Rabbonim and ROshei Yeshiva support. And not what commenters and Askanim say, but what they say on their own.

      Enough is enough.

    2. Welp looks like the Roshei Yeshiva are on team vote-for-Murphy

how do you deal with the fact

AK said in front of me that his brothers follow whoever he tells them to?

  2. The boats were useless without personnel. The hospitals were never overwhelmed, the hospital workers were overwhelmed.
AFAIK, boats were sent to NYS, not NJ. Murphy has nothing to do with that.
And the treatments that were outlawed were done so by the federal government. Citarelli won't be able to change that.

    1. Basically put his power before your life.

      NOT MY GOVERNOR

    2. The USS Comfort was fully stocked with 1,200 medical personnel aboard.

The ship had 4,000 beds, 12 operating rooms, a medical laboratory, a pharmacy, and helicopter deck.

It was stationed right off the NY Harbor - about 20-30 minutes from most NJ hospitals. I dont want to hear it was for NY only. Maybe if your governor is a knucklehead...

    3. There was never a shortage of hospital beds in NY/NJ. They were scared there might be one, but there wasn't. So nobody ended up needing the publicity stunt, aka army ships.

But there was a shortage of personnel, which is why it took time to get to patients, leading to tragic outcomes. At least, some people believe so. So why weren't those 1200 people deployed in actual hospitals?

    4. I get it, you love the Democrat Party, but why all the blatant lies? Perhaps it is impossible to support them otherwise.

There was a shortage of Hospital Beds in NJ. At one point, Hatzolah was driving people to PA

    5. I don't know why you jumped to the Democrat party.
Hatzola was driving people to PA, because Jersey Shore was not doing a good job. People were going to Baltimore and to Boston too, but not because of a bed shortage.

    6. Anon 4:33 - do you realize how ridiculous your argument is. Nobody needed the boat, which is why they didn't use them. There were hospitals in PA, as you rightfully pointed out.

    7. Hospitals were filled to capacity. There were also hundreds of nurses that were brought in from around the country. Cuomo barred them from helping. There is testimony to this all over the internet. You'd have to be willfully blind to ignore it. "There were hospitals in PA" so we dont need extra beds 20 minutes away, we can just drive deathly ill patients 1.5 hours away! This would be funny if it weren't so sad

  3. How big exactly is the proposed Simcha Hall on Newport Ave? I heard that it's going to be massive. They're planning to use the entire "unfinished" 20,000 square foot basement as another Simcha Hall and they're providing about 150 parking spaces.

Can anyone give us more details on application # SP 2444. I'd like to become their exclusive caterer.

    1. It's actually only 131 parking spots and the floor size is 21,000 square feet.

    2. So it’s ok to keep building more and more Simcha halls but not shuls... and Lakewood is supposed to be the “ihr haTorah”! Feh!!!

  4. I don’t know who is better but one thing is clear since the Vaad took control governmental services have gone down and taxes continue to climb. Traffic is out of control. Building is out of control TX… Most of the VAAD Members are either connected to developers or living in tax exempt properties or both.

  5. Trump is toit meshuga and has little chance of obtaining nomination. No class and it looks like he just cant help himself. Maybe he should learn some mesilas yisharim..

    1. Yes, he is toit meshuga. Sadly, 70 million people had no problem voting for a candidate who is toit meshuga. Including some frumme Yidden too.

      Really sad, but true.

  6. I am not sure any more. I wanted to vote for Murphy, but if he got the endorsement of Bikur Cholim, I don't know any more.

Can some Chassidim do something useful, instead of just carrying on Shabbos, and open a competing organization for hospitals? Lakewood needs it desperately.

    1. You are a sad sick excuse of a person. Bikur Cholim is an amazing organization. I am not sure what you have issues with and then to make horrible comments about chassidim?!?!?

  7. Yes Trump is toit meshuga but no way I vote for Biden I still vote for Trump who is for USA.
Murphy is just waiting to be re-elected and then he will clamp down with major COVID restrictions like NYC.

  8. Trump is toit meshuga? Maybe but he was the best President ever and we desperately need him back!!! Hashem should help that he wins in a landslide and could reverse the terrible damage being done by the nursing home patient currently sleeping in the White House. #Trump2024!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you serious? I can’t believe I’m reading this on a “yiddish” site.

    1. I don't get it. People believe Murphy is terrible for fighting nursing home residents. And now you're claiming being a nursing home resident is the problem.

      Make up your minds people

  10. Since when does chailife and bikur cholim represent lakewood residents this is all a PR stunt. Why did asskans bring phil to belz and not to the yeshiva community

    1. They brought him to places where he will have who to take photos with. He can't possibly fill Lake Terrace or Bais Faiga so they took him to organizations that have employees & t-shirts

    2. Because they know the chassidim are (hopefully) smarter and won't vote for someone who will unleash power and tyranny as soon as he wins office! Yeshiva will blindly follow the vaad so they know they got u in their pockets, no fear of you using independent brains, so why waste time?

  12. Glad to see the same askanim who threatened the Lakewood Rosh Yeshiva last year before shavuos that he dare open the yeshiva and bullied him to keep it closed are the ones who greeted him and hugged Murphy today welcoming him to town. A the saying goes A man is known by the company he keeps

The olam must proclaim once and for all they have no right or mandate to represent the orthodox community of Lakewood
