Governor - Phil Murphy

The last year and a half has been very challenging to the whole Lakewood Kehille on many levels . Most painful aside from the precious Neshamas we lost was the act of containing the essence of our Heilige community: Our Shuls Chadarim , Bals Yaakovs and Yeshivos gedolos. While the entire United States and indeed the whole world suffered from the terrible Magefa , if was primary each government led by the Governors that the regulations and tone for how mandates , policies and resections were codified implemented and enforced Its not that in some States , and notably our neighboring State of New York , Governors abused the robust powers given to them in times of emergency, to single handedly, and in most dictatorial manner, place decrees on the residents which stifled much of what we hold dear Even worse they recklessly authorized heavy handed enforcement of questionable and harmful policies choking the very blood of our kehilla

Without minimizing the absolute need for proper health precautions, our community of Bnei Torah and Yere Shomayim obligations that are essential for our Ruchniyus In this vein we feel that Gov. Phil Murphy showed extraordinary sensitivity in balancing his constitutional duties to protect us with a true understanding of the nature of our Kehilla and its essential needs.

It is no secret that  there leaves a lot to be desired with the current Administration social policies and priorities. As a Yiddish Kehila we are imbued with timeless values and obligations to preserve human life, family values and our religious mandates . To our great chagrin in much of the country and particularly here in the Northeast and on the west coast waves of liberalism  and progressivness have washed away many of our sacred ideals . That being said, we will never give up and will continue to let our voices heard in the halls of government and public opinion to uphold what we hold to be dear and right.

However, in the final analysis, after consulting with Daas Torah , Roshei Mosdos, askonim so many members of the kehila  and after critically analyzing the political realities  we strongly endorse the re - election of Governor Murply for another term as Governor of New jersey.

    1. I don't care about the Vaad and the reasons they say. I care about the Roshei Yeshiva, who said to vote for Murphy. #ThatsAllINeed

  4. Is there anyone to vote for that will actually address the real problems in this town?. The Roshei Mosdos (מוסד בגמטריא סדום) made enough money off of Covid, let everyone else live already.

  5. Why do you care what the roshei yeshiva said? Besides they didn’t say who to vote for.
