    2. I believe the hashgacha is just over the packaging and labeling, they aren't actually overseeing the shchita etc.

    1. Its worse for Toms River where most families routes didn't even get picked up. But you can't get Aid in lieu of unless you pay. This is a racket.

  4. Traffic this morning on Spruce Street/Washington/Vine was a complete standstill. A normal 3 minute drive to my child's playgroup took me over 20 minutes and I ended up parking and walking the last few blocks because Spruce was a complete parking lot both directions! And now they want to put a daycare at the corner of Washington and Spruce... It's beyond frustrating.

    3. Both the Satmar Rebbe and the Belzer Rebbe are very wealthy people. Why aren't they each taking care of the financial gap which the schools need to begin the year already?!?

  7. LSTA should be audited they are getting millions of public funds to control the private busing in Lakewood and surrounding towns. Time for oversight committee to get involved and disclose all salaries and spending to disclose if any schools are getting preferable treatment etc

  10. I usually get so annoyed with the lack of proofreading of the articles on this blogspot. But today I couldn't be annoyed because I couldn't stop laughing. Here's what I mean:
"Hundreds from Panama jewish community gathered together this morning at 6am for a kabolas panic of The gedolei EY who are raising funds on behalf of Keren Olam Hatorah."
Was the panic due to the extreme awe due to the gathering of Gedolei Hatorah or was it just a happy panic due to the the visit of such Chashuv Gedolim?:)

  11. What's the deal with the empty buses driving around Lakewood every morning starting at 6:30 AM?

    ReplyDelete

    1. It's for all the mesivta boys who come home at 11 and the routes start at 6:30 when davening is at 7:40 or 8. They can't make these busses. they carpool or hitch. Don't judge - wait until you have mesivta boys. the schedule is grueling!
The real question is why do the runs start at 6:30?????

    2. Exactly! There needs to be a better solution. Its not right to waste so much of our money on this absolute bal tashchis!
