    1. It has wifi capability so you can get internet if you're near any public wifi hotspot.

    2. you will still automatically connect to wi-fi in any hotspot and have unrestricted access even if you didn't pay extra for it

    3. And if connected it to your home wifi for any reason it has internet. Would you allow your children to use an ipad that's not connected to a wifi network?

  2. Illegally parked cars significantly contribute to pedestrian accidents in town. Insufficient parking in approved buildings compels these cars to park illegally.

The responsibility lies with the planning board for approving buildings with inadequate parking, which in turn forces these cars to park illegally.

  3. If BMG gets rid of its freezer, I will bli neder give much more than a dollar per day. Until then, I will continue supporting other mosdos. I would rather give money to YU than a Yeshiva that prohibits boys from keeping halacha.

    1. Save your dollar a day for a therapist, you need the help.

    2. He doesn't need a therapist. It's a legitimate disagreement. There are choshuve people who feel that many girls have gotten hurt because of the freezer . BMG is entitled to do what they want but many choshuve people strongly disagree.

    3. Prefer to support a place that is wishy washy on chamuros?!

    4. Kidding?
Some issue like that would be the smallest problem with that place on Amsterdam Ave

    5. Does YU require its students to violate halacha?

    6. This is meant to be a joke, I assume. Just read their mag rag The Commentator to give yourself an inkling
Seriously putting them in the same category?!

    7. Coercing students to politely shake hands with,& applaud, the wicked;promoting co-ed events
Let's start with their smallest run of the mill violations
Some of our sins could be nearly their merits

    8. Which seif in the Shulchan Aruch is violated by co-ed events (Rav Moshe made a co-ed wedding)? Or by applauding co-ed events? And please provide a link where students are "COERCED" to attend any of these events?

I am not putting YU and BMG in the same category. As I said before, only one of these Yeshivas requires its talmidim to violate halacha.

    9. Leave here & go there.Fast.
They flirt with the 3 chamuros daily
,but for you that is insignificant compared to the freezer.

      How does somebody ma'aser salt?

    10. Let's say Yeshivas Brisk came out with a rule that its talmidim shouldn't keep kosher, even dirabbanan kosher (chicken cheeseburgers). Would you be OK with that? Would you say, "It's not as bad a YU, where they 'coerce' [still waiting for a source] students to attend co-ed events, or where they "flirt" [whatever that means] with the 3 chamuros daily"?

  5. The Mincha area is a blight on all of us.
Why can't people treat davening with more respect? The Halacha tells us that we should not daven outside. Why do people have such a cavalier attitude towards Hilchos Tefilla?
Especially Chassidim, who claim that they learned and taught how to daven.

    1. Your intention was to bash chasidim. For someone who claims to be an expert in halacha, you've just violated many.

      Delete
    2. Probably not the most Lechatchila way to Daven, but if it's a Minyan Kavua and set up properly, it's probably better than Davening B'Yechidus elsewhere...

    3. So ab - you know my intentions, yet you cannot defend this practice.

Anon 11:03 - if this travesty was done in a private fashion, we could discuss which is worse. But when it is done in public, when an outdoor Mincha area is officially so designated, it is not just a violation of a Halacha, but a trampling of Halacha.

And nobody condemns it, it is considered normal somehow.
