But the federal holiday for Juneteenth — which celebrates the end of slavery in the U.S. — will be Monday. That means state courts and offices, including MVC office sites, will be closed Friday. And while it will be normal business for state government Monday, the federal holiday means federal courts, mail delivery, and other federal services will pause. The reason? New Jersey passed the state holiday before the federal government did. And state leaders decided it should have a fixed day every year: the third Friday of June.

    1. It may be trash, but Trump bashing is not trash. The nauseating Trump support in the Yated is true trash.

    3. Trump bashing is Trash and against what yiddishkeit stands for. No one expects a president to be a tzadik with good middos. Rav Elchonon Wasserman said that when you make the bracha of shelo asani goy it means even the president of the USA.
What we look out forbis who was good for the Jews who was a ohev Yisrael. That is why the frum community at large support Trump. To bash him is kafoy Tova and puts klal Yisrael in danger.
YWN is filth shbfilth trash shbtrash it is not reflective of the general views of mainstream yeshivavworld crowd. It is a click batenasty rag that caters to the modox.

    4. You have totally misrepresented Reb Elchanan. His point was that even the most 'oisgehalten' and wise of the Umos Ha'olam is not a Yid, and we make a Bracha on him.

The president who is best for the Yidden is the one who does not botch up a pandemic response, closing down the response team and making outlandish claims, ending up with millions of unnecessary dead. The president who is best for Yidden is the one who does not start trade wars with China, causing runaway inflation that is still a problem for all of us. The president who is best for Yidden is the one who does not make the world see America as a volatile clown, paving the way for China to take over America's place in the world.

Moving an embassy is not a favor for any of us.

YWN is filth shebefilth, just like the Yated and its website.

    6. dude, you have serious issues. first of all, how could trump cause "millions" of covid deaths if only about one million died (according to the cdc) from the pandemic in the u.s. i guess you are like that pariah cuomo who said that trump was to blame for every covid death, as if no one would have died if not for him, but even according to him trump couldn't be responsible for more deaths than actually occured.
secondly, you are blaming the inflation on trump? are you insane? that one doesn't even need refutaiton it's so obviously idiotic.
thirdly, trump was great on foreign policy and was respected - even if he wasn't loved - by all. biden made us a laughingstock to the world and pulled us into another foreign war quagmire.

  3. Classic Republican voters will be less likely to support him now if nominee in the general election
While his fans will rally to him in the primary ruining others chances
Thus, the whole arraignment is another wicked shrewd move from those who pull the strings from behind

    1. So you think the law shouldn't apply to him? He is somehow different because he is running for office?
How about anyone who does something illegal quickly run for president so that they shouldn't be indicted?

Trump is being treated just like anyone else who violates the Espionage Act, and the prison sentences for this law are quite high. He deserves no special treatment, and although he convinced everyone that he is somehow above the rules, he plays by his own rules etc., the rules are showing him that they were made for a reason.

    2. It's all political, Biden had 86 boxes in his garage nobody cared. Every president takes stuff, then they go thru it and give the archives what they need. Hillary erased 30,000 emails and destroyed 5 phones, nobody cared. Espionage is not a president holding papers. It's a misapplied law, and that why everyone sees it for what it is.

    3. The difference is, others gave them back immediately. Trump fought to keep them.

The Espionage Act is the name of the law. Nobody said he was a spy.

This is exactly what the Espionage Act was made to prevent. Trump's treatment is no different to anyone else's. They investigated Hilary and did not find sufficient proof for a case. In Trump's case, many respected lawyers, including Trump's allies and friends, the evidence seems watertight. If they would not prosecute, it would be a travesty of judgement.

    4. They probably should indict , nevertheless it is stupendously naive to presume the choice of season now is a shred other than politics.

  5. The tax increase is absolutely insane. As a relative newcomer to LW I’m stunned by the complacency of the populace here. $800 per average household??!!?? Just beyond comprehension.

    1. We kept begging the township to stop building more developments for outsiders. Every new house built for outsiders causes our taxes to go up even more. But the township didn't care - they wanted the Brooklyn people to keep moving in, because the developers were making big bucks. So we just gave up and don't care anymore. And even if we did care, there's nothing to do because nobody listens to us.
