Rav Bergmans Eitzah for those in Shidduchim

At the end of his drasha at Adirei Hatorah Rav Meir Tzvi Bergman shlita mentioned the plight of bochurim and bnos Yisrael in the parsha of shidduchim. He related a known segula from his father in law Harac Shach zatzal to always say birchas Hamazon and bentch inside from a siddur or bentcher which can help bring yeshuos to those in the parsha. Watch video below as he repeated it in English.

  1. What was the point to repeat itin English? As if he already did not speak long enough?? Why don't they give the speakers time limits? R Swerdlow also spoke way too long? And why did he speak in Yiddish??

  3. He repeated in English to be clear! As a hardship to himself as he doesn’t speak English. It was awe inspiring to see how a gadol cares about klal Yisroel. The night wasn’t about Shidduchim but he knows people are suffering so he wanted to give over the message to the American oilam and the fact that he repeated it in English even though he doesn’t speak the language is because he wanted the message to be heard and understood by everyone!! Such is his caring and concern for the daughters of klal Yisroel

  4. How can you speak that way about a tzaddik???!!! What has happened to this generation, that you even feel that you can criticize a gadol hador!

  7. Once upon a time, before I started reading Hefkervelt comments, I thought I was too cynical and negative, besides for being a major misnagged. However, When I read Hefkervelt comments, I feel like the sweetest, most positive person, in comparison. Thanks for the ego boost. Now I don't have to work on my middos anymore...

  8. Let’s get real, it’s highly doubtful that rav Bergman realizes that the shidduch issue is the direct result of the freezer, he must have been asked to address the issue as a way to deflect from the real cause and that those suffering should feel like someone feels their pain (remember bill clinton)
If we want to help girls get married let’s either get the freezer abolished or stop boys from coming to bmg at 23/24

  9. Wow I don’t know why nobody ever thought of abolishing the freezer as the solution to the shidduch crisis! Really now are you serious?

  10. Benching from inside a bencher is a Segulah for Parnassah as well. Is there a connection between shidduchim and Parnassah?

    1. A shidduch for a bachur is his parnassa. Parnassa means fulfilling the need.

    2. The Torah refers to both (parnassa and wife) as Lechem.
