  3. If The Yunger lite eat in BMG who pays for that? don't tell me they don't eat there - at breakfast and lunch.
Who pays for electricity - heat 24/7 ??
Who pays for the upkeep of the many buildings?
If a Bochur decides not to eat in in the Yeshivah - The Yeshivah does NOT know about this - the food is prepared anyway. Talking about food, do you know what food costs today ? do you think the Yeshivah should wait for sales in Shop rite or other stores ???
Who pays the Staff - BMG has a humongous Staff to keep up with bochrim. Lets not even talk about the yunger lite. 20,000.00 a year is cheap. Divide that by 12 = 1666.66. Divide that by 30 its 55.00 a day. Where can you eat 3 times a day, have unlimited amount of coffee, plus a bed??
Not even the homeless can survive with these "benefits".
Get real. go out there and see what stuff costs, you'll change your mind and say it a great subsidized BARGAIN.

    1. Do you have any idea how much money BMG obtains from the state and federal government per student? How much real estate BMG has from the Lakewood taxpayers?

    2. Sure! A bochur eats enough food for $20,000?! The electricity for an average of 500 people per room ends up at $20,000?! What staff?!
This whole claim is just foolish. A Yeshiva of 60 bochurim doesn't cost $5,000 per year, how does BMG, which provides much less and has great economies of scale, cost $20,000?

The Yeshiva generally makes a profit on its bochurim. Most yungeleit bring in more in Pell Grants to the Yeshiva than the Yeshiva returns in Kollel checks.

And the job of Rosh Yeshiva is to collect that difference. BMG is the easiest Yeshiva to collect for. If they don't want to collect, there are others who are willing to do the job.

BMG and money is one of the sorest topics out there. And this cockamainie terutz explains nothing.

  4. Why are the places cheaping out on the boxes waited in line for a half hour to get some cereal and milk with some tuna fish and watermelons no meat or pizza some yogurt and a block of rice that you never eat

  5. Because it’s all done by one company that has a monopoly on the business and they care about one thing only-their bottom line.

  6. What a pathetic question - BMG made this town - be happy for them - I wish they'd get more should be the feeling. Are you missing something? Dorm is a hole in the wall? What is this guy talking about? I actually do have one complaint (if they are rolling in dough) why are there no tissues to blow your nose?

    2. How much blood, sweat, and toil others who won't get any credit and aren't family members put in for them purely to make them what they became? And this isn't what they would have agreed to!
Should they all turn over in the grave?

  7. Curtail and destroy competition before hand. Raise prices while providing minimal service. Raise them again. This- how all monopolies work.
    Isn't it?!

  8. How dare you complain about tissues? They made this town I wish they would get more and not even have paper towels.

  9. What staff? They have exactly 6 paid magidei Shiur, and of course you need some ppl to clean 'the buildings. They have maybe one for every 2/4 hundred ppl in yeshiva, and they use no tuition for the buildings as everything is donated , as for the few yunglet eating lunch, there are more bocherim not eating breakfast lunch and supper
