BMG to purchase a 44 acre parcel of land from neighboring Georgian court college that will include 13 buildings with 465 apartments. The land is located between 14th street Forest Avenue and 9th street. The units will be part of the yeshiva apartments, for kollel youngeleit learning in Beth Medrash Govoha. It will be owned by the yeshiva. (Article in TVOL)
Interestingly according to news articles in the early 1940's The financial office of the Yeshiva, where Rav Aharon Kotler zatzal spent a lot of time, was at the St. James Building, located at 1133 Broadway, in Manhattan. The building was designed by the famous American architect, Bruce Price, who also designed the Georgian Court University in Lakewood.

DeleteIts very nice that they want to help yungerlite but that's at least 500 cars (465 apts. So 500 basically is if there is one 1 car per family)
ReplyDeleteThe only way in & out is on 9th St cuz the whole forest Ave & 14th St is built up so its going to be a disaster for traffic
