  1. So the committeemen are at it again. Raising their salaries at every opportunity they get and for every creative position the give themselves and their relatives/friends. Then they get themselves appointed with nice compensation packages as public relations personnel at the right local organizations (which are of course receiving sizeable grants from the township). Then they vote to give themselves free lifetime insurance. It's no wonder they're happy as a whistle. Local government jobs can be quite lucrative.

  2. I once asked one of our committee men how much their salary is and he said that the most they ever get is 25K (plus insurance). When did that change and get so high?

  3. why don't we put these jobs up for bid?

  4. Excuse me! The Committee used to hold public meetings twice a month. They recently cut it down to only once a month. (They also changed the timing from 7:30 pm to 5:30 pm making it inconvenient for residents just getting out of work or at second seder to participate).

I think their salaries should also be cut in half.

Segulah for parnassa is to become a Lakewood committeeman you get a base salary over 50k plus free health insurance for life plus 15k a year on the MUA plus another liaison appointment plus head of the chamber of commerce plus pensions and salaries from other no show positions and this is all for part time public service jobs all paid for by Lakewood taxpayers who cant make ends meet yet the wealthy get tax abatements for 40 years.

  9. you have to have an outstanding tuition bill for 2021 to get the grant. so if you're up to date with tuition, you can't get it? so parents will be punished for paying tuiton on time?

    1. I think Aguda is sharing it with the IRS in a secret deal where the one making the deal will make $1000 to his pocket for every tax return he hands over!
      Why not assume this?

  12. Why doesn't everyone start paying the cleaning ladies with checks??? They keep hiring their prices so we need to start reporting this income.
If everyone (or even if not 100% but many of us) start doing this they will quickly start lowering their greed.
$20.00 an hr cash is to much.

  13. We need to boycott the cleaning ladies. Paying for unskilled cash paid day laborers. Should be capped at $15 an hour. Clean your house yourself for a while until they break.

  14. Can we PLEASE institute TERM LIMITS!! The 5 on the committee have irrevocably destroyed this town, let them retire (and it sounds like its a great retirement, free top tier health care for life, pension...) and then we will never need to deal with other idiots serving 20 years. Put term limits at 6-8 years. It benefits the entire city.
