In the second Ordinance of the year, the committeemen will vote to give themselves another expensive perk. That is, free top of the line medical benefits for life (even after they're retired) as long as they've served for 20 years on the Committee.. at the taxpayer dime of course.
Mayor Ray Coles assumed membership on the Committee on Jan 1, 2002. Committeemen Miller & Lichtenstein assumed political office on Jan 1, 2004.
These 3 individuals will qualify for this perk very quickly.
Committeemen Akerman and D'Elia began their political careers in 2011 and 2015, respectively. These last 2 individuals need many more years to qualify.
Status: All 5 members of the Committee voted to introduce this ordinance with the first reading at the January 3rd reorganization meeting. The second reading where public comment is allowed is scheduled for this Thursday, January 13 and begins at 5:30 pm.
Just a short while ago,the western Monmouth sewer authority members were indicted, for Corruption, shaking down applicants, and doing favors to developers( for Big Fees) to extend sewer lines, sounds similar to some inside deals in our little town
Sewer and water authorities are Cash Cows for a town and as we clearly see, a Cash Cow for our Greedy and Corrupt leaders,Singer takes the cake and ears it too
