ReplyDeleteGM Lanes Mill LLC (Appeal # 4221) is trying to get away with building 34 duplexes (68 units upstairs + 68 units downstairs = 136 families) in an R-20 zone on Lanes Mill Road. The zone requires 20,000 sf per individual housing unit, but the applicant wants to more than double that and stuff in duplexes into less than half the required space by providing only a 7500 sf per each 4-unit duplex. If the zoning board goes along with this, it can be expected to add an immediate 272 resident cars to the area (34 duplexes x 8 cars per duplex).
ReplyDeleteThe planning board recently approved a massive 30,000 sf wedding hall and an additional large school facility with 24 classrooms, etc.. right next door (Aderes Bais Yaakov) with nowhere nearly enough parking being provided.
It looks like more density and another traffic nightmare will be coming to town..
If we elect the same people, they keep on doing the same things. We can scream & yell online and on paper. But if they get reelected anyway, why should they care? Those who oppose our current local govt. have not put up a viable candidate yet. I think the people of Lakewood are ready for a change, but we have to put up strong, respectable alternatives, who won't just whine and scream
DeletePeople have been saying that the zoning board should be renamed the slum creating board. I understand why.
DeleteGM Lanes Mill sent in a last minute request to postpone their duplex application because some neighbors were upset, and they wanted time to convince them to change their mind. It's been rescheduled to the February 7th meeting without further Notice.
DeleteThanks to our ugeshtuped hiemeshe builders, Lakewood today looks like a sprawling military base with all the trash townhouses they built
ReplyDeleteI got mah mittens and mah booots and mah shovel, now where is the freakin snow

DeleteAny of the covid cases are serious?
ReplyDeleteAlmost all of the serious ones are unvaccinated.
Delete4 out of 30 are vaccinated, and even they may only have fake vaccine cards. No vaccinated people are claiming to be unvaccinated.
