Shabbos Storm High Winds and Power Outages

- 5:00 pm NWS increased snow totals to up to 18 inches along the Jersey Shore  which includes parts of Toms River. See new map below

 - NAM model showing Lakewood in the 12' - 14' range with over 50 mph winds snow will begin friday night and start clearing out Shabbos afternoon

 - 3:30 pm - NJ12 weather:  Snow accumulation The  jersey Shore along the coast from Long Branch to Cape may will  get 9-12" Jackson and central ocean county in 6-9". Lakewood and Toms River bordering 9 -12 range.

National Weather Service update as of this morning on Winter storm Friday night and Shabbos day: We continue to monitor the potential for a major winter storm in portions of our region Friday night and Saturday. Significant snow accumulations of 6 inches or more probable. Strong winds may result in blowing and drifting snow and very low visibilities. Dangerous travel is probable. High winds Northeast to north winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts 40 to 50 mph possible, which may result in some tree damage and power outages. Low wind chills on Saturday night, with potential for rapid onset of frostbite on exposed skin. Winter storm watch issued for areas along and southeast of the I-95 corridor  Gale warning issued for the Atlantic coastal waters of NJ/DE and Delaware Bay Friday night through Saturday night

  1. Ask your LOR what to do about the eiruv in your neighborhood. It is quite likely that it is forbidden to rely on it for this Shabbos
