  1. The fact that Israel is getting away with closing their borders to all non-citizens while all other countries take in their citizens is an outrage!! We all know a yeshiva bochur or a seminary girl that is being forced to stay there away from home over pesach because of this crazy policy. (even if they are vaccinated and pose no covid risk) Sign this petition @ https://www.change.org/OpenIsrael2All to urge the US State Dept. to demand from israel that they cooporate with the basic tenets of the open skies agreement and allow our citizens into their country (albeit in a covid-safe way).

    1. They knew the risk when they chose to go to Israel this year, nobody forced them to go. While I empathize with their pain, they accepted this risk when the got on the plane in Elul.

    2. The open skies agreement doesn't require them to let anyone in. They are making this decision for people's safety, not for any other reason. Your "fake" outrage won't change anything.

    3. I don't think this petition is going anywhere. Every country has an absolute right to protect its borders from any potential health risk to its citizens. The open skies agreement does not apply in this situation. Be patient. Things will get back to normal soon enough. If a boy or girl are mature enough to go abroad for an extended stay, then they should be mature enough to be there over Pesach and away from home too. It's time to grow up.

  2. Chuchuum, Canadas borders are closed to non citizens along with many other countries because of Covid.. First get educated and realize it isnt only Israel that has closed borders. Countries do not need to accept anyone into the country.
