With all due respect I hope the rabbi cares about the ladies held hostage by their husband for years....In the sefardic it looks like the rabonim are actually getting gittin to the wife... What about us , you Rabbi Shabbes? What are you doing about it? Are you showing how to get a get out of these husbands who are dragging it along without any good reason??

    1. To anyone judging the husbands - do you know the full story? There are husbands who want to give a get but the wife refuses because she wants more money. There are wives who say the husband will never see the kids once the divorce goes through etc. Not every situation is as simple as you think. There are also 2 sides to every story.

    1. Someone very special, according to the APP. Thankfully her name wasn't published and her face was out of focus and obscured with a mask in the photo. What a shanda. Who knew the APP was such a rag?

    3. It's been pretty well established that the APP is an anti semitic rag. For a while they left us alone, but recently they ran 5 stories because 3 kids in a town of 100,000+ dressed up in blackface for Purim. How or why that is a story is unclear other than the fact that the APP could get the anti semites to read it and paint the rest of us as racists.

  3. it is pretty clear with reliable sources that the husband is dragging and does not want to go to bais din and just lehachis making the wife life miserable. THAT IS UNACCEPTABE.

There is no reason for a divorce proceeding to take more than two years. If they have differences work it out in bais din. That is what they are there for.

  6. Does anyone know if Kupas Yomtov distributed anything this year? Because they have usually sent the money by now, and nobody I know received a penny.

    1. Might be a dumb question but do people usually hock about how much tzedaka they received?

    2. If you ask your friends in Yeshiva or Kollel, they will tell you if they received it. Especially since the applications are processed together in the Chabura.

Kupas Yomtvo isn't Tomchei Shabbos, it is an appreciation for Kollel yingeleit.
