Navigating the medical field is a challenge. Often, the illness itself is difficult enough to deal with, the obstacle gets compounded by the unfamiliarity people find themselves stuck in.
Sometimes the challenge is as simple as getting delicious food to the patient and their family – or helping visitors REACH them, helping them recapture some semblance of normalcy while stuck in the hospital. But other times, it is more complicated – navigating bureaucratic red tape or helping Cholim access hospital-grade care while in their own homes.
Or maybe you need a piece of medical equipment, and your insurance will not cover the cost-prohibitive part you really need.

It is not just about the patients. If illness means that a mother cannot cook for her family, Bikur Cholim will provide them with delicious meals. If a family member needs a Heimish place to stay while with a family member in the hospital in Lakewood, Jersey Shore, New York, or as far away as Rochester, Minnesota, Bikur Cholim makes sure they have comfortable and well-furnished apartments to stay in.
No matter what the need, it is not beyond Bikur Cholim’s REACH.
The past year has shown just how game-changing Bikur Cholim is and how central they do for every family’s lives. While some might have shirked from the obstacles COVID placed before them, Bikur Cholim attacked it head-on.
Every day, they expanded their REACH to provide even more services and fill even more needs.
