-Letter from Rav Henoch Perl in support of Hatzolas Nefashis
R Perl letter is meaningless
ReplyDeleteSo is anything any of the other so called money taking Rabbis come out with
Delete"so called money taking rabbis"? so you're saying they aren't really "money taking" but are only called that?
DeleteTroll
DeleteEvery single controversy over the past twenty years (I'm a lot older than that and remember plenty from before that-it wasn't so common before that) has people claiming that some of the Rabbonim who signed one way said privately afterwards that they either never signed or were given misinformation so they regret signing. Virtually never- if ever - do any of those Rabbonim who allegedly said those things in private ,say them publicly. Every single controversy has the more controversial side claiming they have secret support from Rabbonim who are scared to say so. (Even if the latter claim is true, so what? If you can't take the heat don't stand in the kitchen. If someone isn't willing to defend you in this world, don't rely on him doing so in the next)
ReplyDeleteYou may not like the letter, but he does bring up true points, hatzalah had some issues, and they had to improve in order to compete. And then the usual stuff that many sign things without much inquiry to the actual facts. Lastly they have a Rov (who has been in Lakewood for decades, and knows the landscape) guiding their organization, whether you like him or not.
ReplyDeleteMy Rav has a longer beard than your rav...don't think it's smart to start dismissing rabbonim who don't side with your agenda.. should we start looking into some who are supportive of the other side and were kinda chased out of Lakewood ..
ReplyDeleteA number of chassidishe Rabbanim in Oak and Vine spoke to their kehillas and publicly said they withdrew their signature. This was the first time that the "establishment" got the chasidishe kehillos involved, and they are regretting it.
ReplyDeleteVery possible.
DeleteThere's an old line (attributed to RSZA, among others) that goes "why does the bracha start off על הצקידים ועל החסידים and not על החסידים ועל הצדיקים?"
"ווייל מען פאנגט נישט אן מיט חסידים"
There's a serious mistranslation in the Engligh version of the letter. The Hebrew version says that some of the signatories are not rabbis and don't hold any Torah positions (i.e. they are not employed in that capacity). The English version changes that to "...and not even Bnei Torah".
ReplyDeleteThe daas Torah of cbn wastsapp dismissed Rav Pearls letter so its case closed
ReplyDeleteHow does one get on to cbn?

DeleteA Rav is someone who is appointed by a Kehillah and serves them.
ReplyDeleteThere are many Talmidei Chachamim who are not Rabbanim, including some who opened Shuls.
The establishment assumed this organization would fade away, but that is apparently not happening. Like the Rabbi says, the best part of it is that they are forcing them to clean up their act.
ReplyDeleteObviously medical transportation is $$$so why not spread the wealth
DeleteHatzolas Nefashos does not bill insurance, unlike Lakewood Hatzola.
DeleteSchnal has become a tax and spend Democrat introducing bills that will cost millions of dollars in New taxes
ReplyDeleteis this what the moetzes had in mind forcing frum yiddin in New Jersey to shell out more hard earned money to taxes while the tuition relief scam never happened
Please bring this up at the agudah convention when they discuss the financial burden on frum families
DeleteThe gas tax would have passed without schnalls vote, it mase political sense for him to vote with party so he can get democrats to vote for his bills
DeleteThe issue with chs is it will help youngerleit and fatten the wallets of day care owners while the middle class is forced to pay hundreds more for child care
