Sunday December 15 News Updates Lakewood

Weather: 42° A mix of clouds and sun

-The Satmar rebbe paid a visit tonight to the new magnificent shul at Royal Grove in Jackson (feder status)

- Dr Rich Roberts of Lakewood, NJ posts thread on Twitter about the Drones over New Jersey:
First, I believe Admiral Kirby when he says that over 90% of the reports are of legal, normal aircraft. Many of the "drone" photos look like cargo jets, or other typical aircraft, with swept wings and a fuselage. Most people don't study the sky at night so they're reporting things that are typically there.
The conclusions that best fit the data are as follows:
1. Most reports are of normal aircraft.
2. Some reports are AI generated photos.
3. This is not the military since the military is not allowed to test over civilian areas, these things are not trying to not be noticed, and the military would not risk the political fallout if one fell on someone.
4. The only scenario, that I can see to fit the facts here, is that a small number of these sightings are alien UFOs who are testing for our societal reaction to, or preparing us for, revealing themselves soon. That's why the US government can't say what they are but knows that they don't present a danger. It makes sense to reveal themselves now since Congress is hot-on-the-case to reveal our military knowledge of them, military and intellegence whistleblowers are increasing in number, and Trump will be in charge soon and he promises to reveal these secrets. I don't know if I'm correct but I can't think of another scenario to fit these facts.

Fairlawn, NJ  Barbershop update:
On Thursday, the Fairlawn police department came out with a statement stating, “after investigating and speaking with all parties involved, it was determined that this was a misunderstanding.”
The boys mother responded with a post on Facebook:
I’m really stepping out of my comfort zone here, but I do not agree with the statement that the Fairlawn Police Department publicized regarding my son’s incident at the barbershop. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but what happened to me and my son was deliberately antisemitic and was definitely NOT a misunderstanding. I agreed to go to the meeting to hear what the barbers had to say. I left with no doubt, fully aware that what happened to us was entirely intentional.
I am beyond grateful for all the support that Jews and Non-Jews in our community and around the world have shown us. We should all be very proud of the TREMENDOUS STRENGTH that we hold. There is no question, WE ARE STRONGER THAN EVER WHEN UNITED!
Please keep your eyes open and don’t be afraid to speak up! We have to keep fighting every bit of antisemitism together.
Everything that happens is from G-D and it is all for the best! My family will only come out of it stronger, but now we need time to heal.
Please keep in mind: ״המרחם על אכזרים סופו להתאכזר על רחמנים.״. “He who showed mercy to the cruel ended up being cruel to the merciful”. NEVER STAY SILENT. When you see something say something!
G-D willing may we all experience only good things moving forward.

  1. What was Torah Unesorah thinking by putting a chinuch insert in all the papers with chinuch advice from nursing home and business owners
Are we that stupid to believe this??

    3. in all fairness, these nursing home owners all went through the yeshiva system and know a lot about it. since they are financially supporting them, they deserve to have a right to set policy for all of us.

I have no problem with the nursing home operators per se, but your statement doesn't make sense on its face.
Just because they give money doesn't mean they should set policy.

    5. Several blocked comments. Wow. This site has been generally rather lenient till now with comments.
Must be scared of offending nursing home operators
Further proof-how they should be the last to be setting policy.

  3. Torah Umesorah is telling us that we need to make our schools more professional.
One secretary picks up the phone, another cuts out the arts and crafts.

Our chinuch is fine, 100% of boys emerge from eighth grade ready for Mesivta, they know Chumash Rashi fairly well and can learn a new Gemara on their own, with just a little prompting. Our girls' schools are not hemorrhaging throughout high school, the twelfth grade has as many girls as does the twelfth grade. The boys who are more advanced have finished most of Shas Mishnayos and three or four masechtos of Gemara before ninth grade. The girls have finished with their silly plays and shows and are learning real-life skills, as well as being given a thorough grounding in Halacha and Hashkafa so they can handle whatever life throws at them.

The only problem we are facing is unprofessional secretaries.

    Wow!

  5. The Drones is a siman of Gog Umagog as the pasuk talks about דראון referring to the final war when mashiach will come

  6. Mr Roberts just a dumb question the UFOs used to prefer flying disks they were pretty cool really fast and made intergalactic travel easy why have they switched to slow moving drones after thousands of years just when drones became common for us earth dwellers? Just wondering....

  7. Roberts is at best just another dr why in the world does anyone care for what he has to say about anything else especially not about ufo sightings

  8. I found No. 3 quite funny.
It can't be the military, because they are not allowed to do so. So of course they would never do what they are not allowed to do. With a straight face.

  9. Is this the first time Rich Roberts didn't give a exclusive story to the Lakewood scoop
